This experience at Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina Was deeply disappointing dining experience at this establishment. While we visited based on a recommendation, our recent meal fell far short of expectations.
The service, in particular, was consistently poor. Our waiter exhibited a lack of attentiveness, starting with incorrect drink orders – iced water instead of hot with lemon, and missing lemon slices for colas not to mention that this cola was old. This inattention culminated in a stressful incident after payment, where our credit card was forgotten and not returned with the receipt, causing unnecessary distress. When we expressed our concerns, the waiter’s unprofessional response of “what do you want me to do? Refund an item?” further exacerbated our negative impression.
The food quality was equally unsatisfactory. The nachos were bland, and all our main dishes, including a chicken quesadilla and various enchiladas, were served with cold rice and beans. My steak enchilada contained remarkably dry, dry reheated meat, and the chicken quesadilla was also cold and unappetizing.
Overall, the combination of subpar food and unprofessional service made for a truly unpleasant evening. We will not be returning to Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina. Horrible a nightmare !!

Came here for a going away party for my old work. This place absolutely rocked. The food was amazing and the drinks were very tasty. Service was great. Food came out fast. Not a single complaint. I can’t wait to bring my wife sometime. Get the bowl with all the meat – chicken, shrimp, sausage and steak… peppers and veggies. Absolutely huge.

I was completely in love with their marinated pork tacos and their all meat fajitas. It comes in sizzling pineapple oh my. I love how much effort they put int their meals and drinks and also they make it so aesthetically pleasing. I’m definitely going back to try out new meals and drinks. I highly recommend.

Used to live in Southern CA and Tucson AZ, and most of the Mexican restaurants around here are terrible – but Agave is great. The birria tacos and chicken enchiladas were very good, chips, fresh and thin, good salsa, even the rice and beans are good! Great service and good drinks as well.

Why would you want to eat here? For the most flavorful AND fresh Latin food in Marlborough and the surrounding area.
I got the camarones agave and they were unreal. Every bite was packed flavor no matter what it contained. The “mild” version was perfectly spicy without overtaking the taste, make sure to pick your level of spiciness.
The enchiladas de mole were unbelievably fresh (like everything else) and satiating without being too heavy. Absolutely delicious.
Even the chips and salsa served for free were delicious and clearly fresh. I’ll be back soon

Agave has great Mexican food at a reasonable price. Their enchiladas and stir-fry are so good. There is a great selection of margaritas including fruit flavors and sangria inspired. Would definitely recommend!

Was happy to a Mexican restaurant near our hotel. Decided to go go check it out and…it was one of the best experiences ever! From arrival to departure we had amazing, fast, friendly service! Loved the vibe of the space! The drinks were spot on delicious! The food was amazing and super fast! Highly recommend! Wish I could take it home with me to the Midwest!

I absolutely loved the mole enchiladas I ordered here. The mole sauce is the perfect combination of chocolate(cocoa) and spicy flavor. The reason why it is NOT a 5 star rating it’s because their birria tacos did not meet expectations, they lacked flavor and the meat was not shredded instead we got very large chunks of meat wrapped in a tortilla, we found that very weird lol. I ordered a jumbo margarita and it was delicious and worth the price.
