Had a very enjoyable meal here. The food was well prepared and tasty (I had rib eye teppanyaki), and the service was exceptional.
It was a Sunday night so it was very quiet. But we’ll definitely come back another day, perhaps on a Friday or Saturday evening and perhaps sit at the table where the meat is cooked in front of you.
Edit: Came back and had an amazing meal, genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. The food is delicious but the experience is also excellent – the chef lets you try flipping an egg into your hat, and tosses rice towards you for you to catch in your mouth. Great food and great fun.

First time of visiting we weren’t sure what to expect. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food! Everything was super tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent and did everything they could to give us an amazing experience. The Teppenyaki show was fabulous and we highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Friendly and welcoming staff, good selection of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, curries and noodles. Sushi was particularly good, we went for the chefs recommended platter. We also ordered squid, chicken yakitori and chicken gyozas for starters, and beef, and seafood yakisoba for main. Noodles were very generous portions. There is also an option for Teppanyaki which is a dining experience. Set menus are also offered. If you want something different I would recommend.

I can honestly say that I had no faults with the food, restaurant or staff when dining here. We did get there a little early so we were the only ones at the restaurant, but that was nice. The waiter (Sam) was attentive, friendly and there when you needed him. We had a range of different foods from noodles, curry to sushi and all of it was amazing. The food was cooked wonderfully and the flavours were superb. The decor is on theme, there’s plenty of space to sit and the restaurant was clean tidy and ready for guests. I will be going back again soon.

I have been to Katana Spalding some ( long ) time ago but apart of the interior not much changed. The food is delicious, service at top level and also entertaining as I booked a Teppanyaki table this time, it’s clean everywhere even the toilets. I think Katana could benefit from playing Japanese music which I personally would appreciate. It is a bit cold inside but nothing that could make you shiver. Overall, it was a pleasure to eat, observe food being made and having a little chit chat too.

This was my first visit to a Japanese restaurant. The whole experience was amazing. The food was fantastic especially as you got to see it being cooked right infront of you. Neil the chef was excellent. He explained everything and made us feel at ease while cooking plus throwing in some jokes. I would definitely recommend Katana to others who have never tried Japanese food.
