Upon arrival there wasn’t any hostess at the door, however when we walked in one of the servers assisted us and seated us at our table.

Once we were seated our server came over promptly, introducing herself as Shabron. She welcomed us to Taj Mahal with a beautiful smile.

Our server then took our drinks orders and made some delicious recommendations from their menu. I would have tried them all if I had a bigger appetite.

I can honestly say that out of the five items I tried, I enjoyed all accept one. Everything else was delicious, especially the lamb.

I had their ginger lemonade which was made with fresh ginger, so I would give it a 10/10 for flavor.

I can truly say that I will recommend this place to others and I will definitely be back.

We went to this restaurant without any expectations as we were not sure what to get in Bahamas. We ordered a bunch of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the taste of the food. We ordered bullet naan and kulcha, both of which were outstanding. Dal tadka, baigan bharta, aaloo gobi, shrimp curry were all to the point both taste and spice wise. Infact, their achaar was very tasty as well

Service was awesome and we spoke to the owner, Manjeet who was very kind and humble.

Lastly, it was late and we wanted to get milk for our baby and they were kind enough to fill up the milk bottle without charging us a dime.

Overall, a must go!!

At first we were turned away (by staff bcz there was no tables) but then the owner (who was super nice) managed to get us a table after a 20 min wait. the food arrived quickly. Most notable was the butter chicken which was delicious! The breads were fresh and i liked the Tadka Daal – thick and spicy. The samosas and pakoras were also well made but could have used a bit more salt (not a big knock on them). the third dish was average. the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Definitely recommended if you are craving some indian. Prices were certainly much higher than any indian restaurnat in the US, but that must be par for the course in the Bahamas (everything is pricey!).

Very very expensive for a not so good food. The place is not customer friendly. The biriyani is the worst i ever had. A very small naan for $9 a piece. Portion sizes are very small.

If you like real good authentic indian food try the Cabbage beach bistro in paradise island, reasonably priced and tasty.

The food here is amazing, we always order too much. The service and staff maybe not so much, there is one friendly waiter that was nice and helpful (after waiting about 10 minutes after sitting). We ordered the lunch special (no hard menu) the server told us the price, but upon receiving the check the lunch was a bit more than what we were told. When we asked about this, they told us that is the price, even know we were told wrong. Just thought it was odd to not have a hard menu to actually see the options, let alone the price. They didn’t change the price to what we were told it was initially. I won’t be ordering the “special” again you might as well get a dinner portion for what they charge. Still great food will be back.

Very nice restaurant, the food was outstanding. I had the Saag Chicken, vegetable pakora and garlic naan. The food was delicious, the surroundings were modern, clean and very nice. Then why a 3 you might ask? I was the only person in the restaurant and it took over 15 minutes to get a glass of water. The service was incredibly SLOW. I then saw that the waitress was also the bar tender on the other side. I know it was not her fault but it was painfully slow. I would highly recommend the food but be prepared to wait.

Excellent food. We came here with 28 people. The food was served hot and fresh. The taste of the food was amazing! Even some of the picky kids ate well!!
Many of us come from bigger cities, such as Toronto, Washington DC and Orlando, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. Will definitely come back here the next time we’re in the Bahamas.

I would not recommend this place unless you are really craving for Indian cuisine as this must be the only Indian place near Atlantis. We had a bad experience here. We had been trying to get a reservation for 2 days and nobody used to answer. And when 7 of us with hungry kids took a taxi on a Wednesday evening at 7pm they said they were fully booked and could not guarantee us a table even if we decided to wait. They close their kitchen at 9pm. So we decided to do takeout and while waiting we noticed that most of their tables were getting empty and no new customers had entered and yet they did not bother to offer us a table. By the time our takeout was ready ~8:10 pm it looked like the entire restaurant was empty except in the bar. They need to make sure there is someone to answer the call/online to make reservation. We paid $80 to go in a taxi to do a $300 take out from there. The hostess/waiter said I need to check with my owner a couple of times to decide whether she can give us a table or not, it felt a little strange. The food is just ok. The veg pakora is good, parata was ok. We liked the samosa and the saag paneer. Butter paneer was a little too sweet. The veg biryani was undercooked and had too much cloves. The ambience is just basic and very disappointing customer service. Make sure you have a reservation before you go else you will end up wasting your vacation time and money.
