Ok so this was definitely a very pleasant choice for a girls night out. (Just two of us). First of all, the place is beautiful decorated (inside and outside) with just the right mix of “texture” without it being overloaded. The service was perfect. Our server was attentive but gave us as much space as we needed without constantly barging as my friend and I had a very immersive conversation. I also noticed the table near us was also in a similar boat where they were deeply immersed in their conversation and the servers were around but didn’t barge in periodically unnecessarily. The food was REALLY good. I had the chicken churrasco. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture but the chicken was perfectly seared and juicy and just lovely! My friend had the chuleta with I think some mango ontop and though it was a fairly generous sized meat she managed to eat it all! We also shared the mojito sampler flights which were tasty and beautifully presented. We also got to checkout the back which has the most awesomest vibe and it’s a space if you have a large party and call ahead of time they can put you back there. I don’t live in the area but I will absolutely love to go back soon!

It was our first time at Cuba 1958 and we will DEFINITELY will return. We originally had made reservations for dinner but it was a beautiful day so we made another reservation for 1pm. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised especially driving over 1 hour to get there. The owner sat us immediately, the restaurant was spotless and the decor was fabulous. It was so nice to see the staff dressed with a crisp white shirt and tie. Our waiter Janio was attentive, personal, and efficient with a strong knowledge of the menu. The food was very authentic and the presentation was spot on. Before we left I asked wasn’t there another room we saw on the website. Our waiter graciously took us to the back where we were even more blown away Stunning!!! Can’t wait to go back and we will definitely let our friends and family know about this great treasure we found.

Upscale, standout and authentic Cuban cuisine.
Must haves are the Paella and the Lechon Asado(pork roast).
We’ve had these at numerous other restaurants. This restaurant’s versions are exceptional in that the spices are perfectly layered and each protein in the Paella is added in time so not only can you taste each distinctly but none are overdone so no rubbery shrimp, calamari or fish and no dried out rice-this is real attention to detail!
Be sure to request the house made hot sauce; also outstanding.
Congri rice and Black bean soup were also elevated.
Service was properly paced; attentive but never intrusive.
We will definitely be back.

Upscale Cuban restaurant with reasonable prices and plentiful portions.
Started with the Marquita’s con Guacamole which was quite good and fresh.
Two entrees, Milanese de Pollo and Churrasco de Pollo. Both were excellent and came with your choice of two sides.
Service was excellent!

Christmas dinner. Family of 5. Made reservations through open table for 8:30 but we arrived early at 7:30. Thankfully we were seated.. I REALLY wanted to like it. I told the kids we would have a fancy Christmas dinner and had high hopes based on the recent reviews.

We immediately got menus, server took a bit to come take the drink orders. I placed the appetizer order at the same time since I knew what I wanted to start with. The drinks, 2 from the bar and 3 sodas took about very long to get there. The kids drinks got there when the appetizers came. Till then, we still didn’t have the drinks from the bar. The waitress kept disappearing. We didn’t get to place our actual order till 8. By then is when we finally had our drinks. By then I had already mentioned to the bus lady about the delay in our drinks. The kids get their meals brought out. The kids steaks are cold. My son doesn’t want to eat cold steak. Server disappears again. Our food still isn’t out. The ENTIRE night, the kids don’t get refills for their sodas. By 8:37 I flag someone down and say, hey we need water refills, and our two main entres haven’t come out and it’s been 40 minutes. He relays the message and the assistant manager comes to our table to apologize and explain there was a big catering order that they had to take care of. Another 20 minutes go by. One entre comes out, wait about 5 minutes, my entre comes out. I think they charred the vaca fruit in extremely high heat because it was crusty on the outside. Crispy crusty. My husband ordered his chimichurri steak medium rare. Came out rare (see pic). The owner/manager comes to the table again to apologize, says he will comp my son’s dish and do something else to alleviate the inconvenience and was very apologetic. That’s fine. I was understanding and was expecting to see some sort of discount on the bill. Then they come and offer a dessert on the house as well as a drink from the bar for my husband on the house. Great. Cool. Fine. Kids enjoyed their dessert. The. It took about another 15 minutes just to flag her to get the bill. By this time we are all tired. Already 9pm, waiting to pay. I send the family to the car and wait. She was again taking a hot minute to come back so I got up and went to the check in desk to pay.

The fact that I paid full price and that I could have gone to another steak house and gotten more for what I paid for was disappointing. I was extremely tired to argue about this with them. You can’t charge $50 a plate for service that is worse than something like Dennys. I can’t justify that.

Best Cuban north of Miami that I’ve found. Food was absolutely top notch- ropa was really rich and tender, Lechon Asada tender, flavorful and mom had the Bistec de Pollo, seasoned perfectly and fork tender. Cuban coffee is the real deal, maduros perfect. Don’t skip the bread, light, airy top notch Cuban bread. 5 star G.I. All around, Arturo was our server and loved it that he spent some time talking with us. We’ll be regulars now for sure.

We stumbled upon this place for lunch and WOW! The food was absolutely fantastic. My cuban sandwich was great, the appetizers were amazing, the environment was nice, and the service was great. They even had a decent amount of vegan options. We will definitely be back!

Main entrees were average, with a little more to be desired. On the other hand appetizers we delicious, we could have just stopped there and food would have been 5 stars. Drinks were ok, but I don’t think I would order mine again. Dessert was an interesting concept but not exacuted well.
Service was nice but the restaurant was sooo hot! The staff kept wiping their faces they were dripping in sweat and as patrons we were very warm making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had such a wonderful dinner at Cuba 1958 in Sarasota. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and beautifully decorated, and the staff made us feel right at home.

The food was outstanding. The sangria was perfectly balanced, the lechón asado was tender and flavorful, and the ropa vieja had rich flavors with creamy guacamole on a crispy tortilla – such a great combination. The cilantro garlic sauce with the Cuba to Sarasota sampler was a standout, and the empanada was easily the best we’ve ever had. For dessert, the tres leches was moist and delicious, and the Bomboncito (a layered Cuban after-dinner drink with espresso, condensed milk, foam, and lime) was the perfect ending.

Every bite was excellent, and it’s clear this is a place that puts care into both the food and the experience. We’ll definitely be back and plan to make this a regular date night spot!
