Stopped here @ Ella Maes for Sunday Morning Breakfast.
Location:
The Ella Mae Restaurant is situated in the lower-level corner of the Luminary Hotel in Downtown Ft. Myers.
The view is truly remarkable, offering a clear sight of the two bridges that link North Fort Myers to Fort Myers. One can also observe boats gracefully navigating the waterway.
Service:
Our server, Paula, demonstrated exceptional professionalism and provided an outstanding experience. Her friendly, kind, and warm demeanor made the interaction a true pleasure.
Food:
My wife and I shared a ham, cheese, and sausage omelet, which was accompanied by home fries, potatoes, and toast. The omelette was huge and plenty for both of us to enjoy! #Breakfast #Food
Overall Experience:
Great breakfast, service, and I give Ella Mae’s a 5 out of 5 rating! #Breakfast #Service #Rating

Delicious. It might be the best fried chicken n biscuit I have ever eaten. We also had the cornmeal fried cod with grits and eggs. The fish was flaky, true southern grits, and a tartar sauce made with green tomatoes. My granddaughters had Mac n cheese, (it was homemade) and chocolate chip pancakes. I wasn’t fast enough to get any other pictures! The only negative is that there isn’t anything to soak up the noise from a busy restaurant. Next time I want to sit outside. They hung up my granddaughters picture that she colored before we left. She was thrilled. Her name is Piper and she was excited to share her name with who the restaurant was named for. It was a great opportunity to tell her about Dr Ella Piper and her contributions to Fort Myers, FL.

Larry the server was superb. Really set the tone for the menu. Food was seasoned & fresh. My wife had a fried egg but it was runny (she requested it not to be). Biscuit was fluffy & buttery. Overall 8/10 experience! Definitely recommend

Absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had in several years, period The gravy was made from Drippings and flour into a roux, not just some mix. Amazing biscuits! and I’m not normally a fan. Oh, and Grandma’s grits! I cannot recommend enough.

I visited my 85 year old Mom in Fort Myers this past weekend. We tried out Ella May’s for the first time and were very impressed. We sat outside and the view was amazing. Our Server was excellent and the food was great!!! We will definitely be back again!

Was in Fort Myers this past week for a work trip and I can say I am so happy I chose to stay at the Luminary because they have the best breakfast place attached to it!!! I had breakfast at Ella Mae’s every morning I was there and it was the best breakfast I have ever had in my life! I got the smoked salmon benedict and it was a 10/10 every morning. Not to mention their staff is so sweet and they were very quick on making my breakfast every morning as I was on a tight schedule. Really great spot and I most definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in or near the area!!!

We are here three days for breakfast as it was attached to our hotel. Of the 6 meals we had between the two of us, only one dish was good.
We tried: peaches French toast (very good!) and was really pretty too.
Chorizo hash, asked for medium/ jammy eggs and they came out with running whites, asked for a remake, same thing the whites were runny. So I just ate the hash.
We tried southern bowl that had grits and eggs, eggs Benedict and also the biscuits. All were pretty disappointing.
It’s a cute diner but the food really needed a little help. The French toast was a stand out, was excellent.

Dog friendly, inside and outside seating, very quick service and tasty food for the reasonable price. What more could you ask for for a breakfast place? We came for breakfast on the 4th of July and wanted to bring our dogs and we enjoyed the outside atmosphere and the relaxing views. The only thing that they need to think about is maybe putting some ceiling fans in the outside seating for the hot humid Summers, but other than that we had an amazing experience. They even brought our dogs ice water in a bowl for our dogs to enjoy as we relaxed for breakfast.
