Wow surprise find here at Waterside while doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Best sandwich shop in Sarasota? Probably. Serious lunch spot here folks. I really enjoyed the Pastrami Melt. Bread was fantastic, hot melted cheese, pickles, mustard. Very cool atmosphere and the place was spotless, very clean. Nice outdoor sitting too.
Love supporting small businesses (don’t think this is a big national chain) will definitely go back soon. OK – the downside; seriously expensive. Like $20.28 for a deli sandwich expensive. I hope it won’t deter folks from stopping in and they do well but it’s pricing out even higher than big city pricing like Los Angeles. I think I may have met the owner, very pleasant with friendly staff as well.

We took our daughter and grandson here for lunch! It was a Friday and there was a 20 minute wait for sandwiches although I’m not sure we waited that long. They have a varied and unique menu! My daughter got the French dip and said although it was messy it was delicious! My husband got the Italian and gave it high marks although he was only able to eat half of it! We got our 2yr old one of the charcuterie meat and cheese from the grab and go. I had the triple cheese truffle tomato jam sandwich and it was super tasty! The prices are a little high for just a sandwich without any sides. The sweet potato fries were flavorful but the amount was a little small for the side price of $6.95. We had an enjoyable experience but $86 for a lunch with only one side and bottled drinks is a little pricey for our budget on a regular visit. I hope that it makes it. We sat at the bar at the window and it was fun looking out while you eat. There are only a couple of booths available while there is also outdoor seating and they are next door to the public bathrooms

Tried the Reuben, Pastrami and Chicken Cutlet Club so far and let me tell you…all 3 were incredible! I’m from NY and therefore I’d like to consider myself a sandwich expert. Each sandwich above was 10/10. Easiest recommendation ever. Do yourself a favor and go…you’ll thank me later.

The sandwiches are amazing! Bread was super fresh. Service could be better from the young girls at the register. My biggest issue is with the crazy high prices, my pastrami melt with chips was $27! (Tip included). That’s just not reasonable. Second visit had the French onion French dip which was delicious. Definitely won’t come here as much as I’d like unless the prices come down.

The service was amazing, and the sandwiches were truly handcrafted. I ordered the Jalapeño Tuna and the Philly Elite, and the latter genuinely lived up to its name. Unfortunately, the food was so delicious and I couldn’t stop eating, so I completely forgot to take pictures! While I noticed some reviews mentioning the price, I personally found the quality and deliciousness to be well worth the cost. I will absolutely be returning with my family.

Had the hot chicken cutlet sandwich and sweet potatoes fries. Everything’s was delicious and will be my go to for quick bite to eat. This is exactly what’s been missing from Waterside! Friendly service. Moderately priced, but the portion and quality is there.

After doing Hot Yoga at Shack, I stopped to get lunch at Carved! Delicious. I ordered the Reuben. Lean meat, great service and beautiful place. LWR needed a Sandwich place, and it’s amazing! Don’t miss out….it’s worth it.
