Had a fantastic experience at the corner store when I somehow got a reservation for seating at the bar (can’t believe I still got that reservation in the first place). This place is so hyped and is able to live up to it. Love the vibes and the elegant yet classic feel of the space and food. The sour cream and onion martini was quite unique and the lobster caviar roll was a must. I also really liked the French dip and it’s definitely up there on my list. But that Samoa sundae, omg best thing here and one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. Actually perfect!! Overall, super glad I got to finally experience the corner store and the perfect spot for a date.

Had a great time here. Everything except the porterhouse was reasonably priced. Everything tasted pretty good across the board as well. However, the Lobster & Caviar roll are to die for. They were the absolute standout of the evening. Excellent service despite having half a bowl of au jus dumped on our shoes and coat from a bus boy slip up. The AGM came over, took care of it, and was very accommodating. Shout out to Ronald A!

Wonderful experience. The Martini program is innovative and delicious. All the menu items are phenomenal. Don’t miss the pizza rolls, carrot side dish and the lobster rolls. The star of the night was the Samoa cookie sundae!

First of all, the hoopla! So difficult to get a reservation. I stumbled on the website alert system at the right time, glitchy as it was.

Waited around 15-20 min to get seated at 9:30pm. Was falling asleep during the meal. For a reservation this difficult to get, I thought it was going to be near heavenly…unfortunately if fell a bit short of expectations. I would say everything was slightly better than if not average…maybe the lobster roll was my favorite. French dip..ok..Caesar salad ok. Dover sole at $90! – just ok. The sour cream onion martini was just dill infused gin. Dessert was salty sweet softserve which was good, samoa Sunday. Overall nothing worth screaming over. I wouldn’t try that hard to come back. Everyone there looked like they wanted to be seen.

Whereas I would go back to Don Angie, 4Charles, not sure the meal was that memorable and I’m no longer curious about this place.

Americana vibes, but not as well ordained as the Polo Bar. I wasn’t blown away by anything in particular.

Waiter was very nice, service was very good. I just wouldn’t break your back but if you had time to wait you should come before it opens.

Amazing experience, Jessica was a gem, so kind and attentive and had amazing recommendations. You MUST get the French dip and the “girl scout” Samoa ice cream dessert. The martinis are also to die for, recommend the tomato and sour cream and onion one. If you can snag a reservation highly recommend!

To be completely honest, I was skeptical about the Corner Store hype. Right off the bat, the reservation process itself is daunting and murky. But at the suggestion of a friend, we decided to just try our luck and wait in line. We arrived promptly at 4pm to about 6 ppl already in line, but were able to secure a table right at 5pm.

Coming from an anti-hype New Yorker, I’m happy to report I was thoroughly surprised by our experience. From Jermaine at the door (who handed everyone refreshing drinks while we waited) to the hostess and our server Mel. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and genuinely helpful.

The food also exceeded my expectations. A simple menu, but well executed with unique touches. The lobster roll and crudo were the best bites of the night. The Caesar salad, by far, the most unique. For any martini lovers, you are definitely in a for a treat to the most innovative martini menu.

Overall, a wonderful evening thanks to the cozy vibes, the friendly staff, and the unique twists on classic food.

I tend to be cautious when it comes to restaurants that generate a lot of buzz, especially in New York, but this one more than delivered. Saying I was impressed would be putting it lightly. From the ambiance to the food to the service, everything far surpassed my expectations.
Let’s start with the service. Our waiter, Mel, was phenomenal. Warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations that did not disappoint. We felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. He elevated the experience beyond just the food.
It’s rare that I leave a restaurant loving every single dish, but that was absolutely the case here. We worked our way through about five courses, each one exceptionally prepared and plated. Standouts included the crudo (a must-try, thank you Mel!), the Caesar salad, the lobster rolls, and the wagyu. Honestly, it’s hard not to list everything. To top it off, the cocktail menu is every martini lover’s dream.
And whatever you do, end the night with the Samoa sundae.

We shared a caesar salad, pizza rolls, french dip, steak frites and all the sauces. For drinks we had pornstar royale & coconut Negroni for our first round, neither of which were amazing. The coconut Negroni was bitter and acidic. For our second round we had a gin gimlet and a glass of Cabernet. I came in excited and left beyond disappointed at the food. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the apple pie and dulce de leche ice cream. However it was neither worth the price tag nor the long reservation wait. Simply not worth the hype.

Oh honey, The Corner Store is not playing. I tried the Caesar salad, pizza bites, steak, and chicken malaise, and let me tell you… each bite had more personality than half the people in this city. The Caesar salad? Crisp, tangy, and basically a salad that whispers, “Yes, you deserve this.” Pizza bites? Little pockets of cheesy rebellion. Steak? Cooked like it’s on a first-name basis with perfection. And chicken malaise… let’s just say it’s so good it should come with therapy because your taste buds might start crying happy tears.

NYC may have attitude, but this food? It has swagger. 10/10, would devour and brag about it immediately. ✨

Was skeptical at first but it’s amazing food, warm service by good people, and a wonderful vibe like nowhere else in NYC right now. Every time we’ve gone everything is wonderful. The food is the most important thing, nostalgic but magical and delicious. The reservations make no sense but hey we’re nobodies and have gotten 5 reservations.
