I don’t leave reviews- but if I could I would give 0 STARS!!
My family and I usually go to the Clifton Sharks location and always have a great experience, but today we decided to try the Botany location — and it was truly horrible from start to finish.
We had to ask for utensils because none were brought out. The French onion soup came out cold, with the cheese barely melted. Then it got worse… 3 out of 4 orders of fries came out after almost 40 minutes, and the 4th order didn’t come out until 20 minutes after that — and it was ICE COLD.
The wings were the final straw. They came out raw, pink, cold, and fatty — nothing like the Sharks wings we’ve been eating for years. We brought everything to the waiter’s attention and he did offer to remake the wings, but at that point we were already disgusted and didn’t want to risk getting food poisoning.
The manager never even came over to the table to check on the situation or apologize.
To top it off, I asked for a refill twice. When it finally came, the cup had someone else’s lipstick marks on it. That was absolutely unacceptable and unsanitary.
Overall, the service was terrible, the food was unsafe, and the hygiene was questionable at best. We will never be returning to this location. The difference between this and the Clifton location is night and day.

The food here is great. Certain nights of the week have various specials. Happen to go on .90$ wing night. The steamers were equally delicious. y favorite thing was the cookie cake with ice cream. The service here was a bit of a mess. There must have been a disconnect because we had multiple servers non of whom communicated with each other. Regardless the food was delicious.

Came here with a buddy a week ago. Definitely solid wings and the fries are to die for, but the service is often behind and the ambiance is nice but provides me with Applebee’s-vibes. However if you you can forgive the other two, the food is pretty solid especially for a wing place that offers tons of different sauces.

The food was outstanding! The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. Every dish was delicious, and the fish was incredibly fresh and of excellent quality. I am very happy with my experience and definitely giving this place five stars!

Just have to say, I love that they use songs that are the explicit version. 10/10 for atmosphere.
We had base line wings, Medium and Sharkys Sauce. Medium is your standard really good buffalo sauce. Made the wings a little soggy because the put so much. The Sharkys Sauce is good but nothing that blows your head off.
Service… it was ok. Nothing wrong at all. Could’ve been better, we were 2 of less than 10 people there, wouldn’t you make sure the experience is better. Especially around March Madness Season. Wouldn’t you want people coming back. Bars a dime a dozen, no one wants to go out anymore, make it special.

Stopped by to check out their happy hour after we got let down by another place. If I recall, their happy hour is from 3-7 which is great as I usually get out of work late. Food was great but service was slow. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with our order. He took the time to inform us of the specials and ensured our order correct. Our drinks were served promptly. Kitchen was a bit slow though. Food was great. Can’t beat .80 cents a wing and $2 drafts. As long as you order 6, you can get a few different sauces. Sharkys sauce with blackened was my favorite. Parking was not an issue when we got there. Will definitely be back for more happy hours.

Wish I could say it was as good as it always was. Not quite sure what happened here. Have been coming to Sharkeys for the last few years, but recently it has gone a little downhill. Not sure if it’s the new owners or the staff themselves. The people working the kitchen were slip on sandals, probably not code for a kitchen. Always liked the food and service, but definitely not what it used to be. Food seemed cheaper quality than previous visits and was delivered not hot to the table. Waiter we had was very forgetful would wait a long while to get food and beer from the bar. He was constantly vaping in the other dining room and haning out in the kitchen. He only had 2 tables while we were there, not much to remember. Hate to see when it gets busy. I might have to find a new hangout for wings and beer…… unfortunate.

Not sure what’s changed recently, but it was not the experience I thought we would have. We’ve been going to Sharky’s for many years and brought my parents when they were visiting from Florida this weekend and it was not what we promised them. Waiter said there were no drink or food specials, but we found out afterwards there were. The beers we ordered were flat (we got them replaced with bottled beer), food took almost an hour and when we asked about the status of our food, our waiter said that clams take 15-20 minutes, which confused us. And none of the food came out together. Parts of peoples meals were delivered at different times, my parents finished before I got mine, my appetizer came out after my entree. It was just not what it used to be when we’ve been in the past.

Shannon is amazing and gave me and my friend the best service. She handled not only the bar but also the 5 tables and handled the to go orders. I never had an empty drink, my food was served very quickly. She was super attentive to every single person in the entire restaurant. This boonton restaurant bar is amazing. I had a Cobb salad that was like 2 salads in one. My friend had the Buffalo chicken wrap, I had the special chicken avacado flat bread. Great for a quick bite and awesome service. Drinks were large and you could taste the alcohol but they were not too strong. Loved it, even the bathroom was very clean with baby changing tables. This is definitely not somewhere you go to impress a date, it’s more of a sports bar, very casual. Food is good for being a sports bar and service is excellent.
