We drove by once and loved the name and we finally had a chance to return for a drinks and dinner date night. They have an incredible selection of beers and whiskies but also have delicious food. I had two kinds of naan tacos that were so tasty and my husband really enjoyed his sliders. The salty boiled peanuts were a great appetizer too.
It looks like a great place for a group to enjoy the patio seating on a warm evening but the indoor bar area is cozy for an autumn game night too. We don’t live in the East Bay but definitely want to return for the friendly service, savory food, and to sample more scotch!

What sweet people & what great food! I called to place a takeout order, which they do not do, however they were kind enough to make a one time exception. Shoutout Bre! I ordered the sliders (chicken, tri tip, & brisket) and they were all fantastic! The vibe looked great and I would definitely stay for a drink next time.

Hops & Scotch is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for any weather. Drinks are well-made, with a solid selection of cocktails and beers. Service can be a bit slow when busy, but the staff is friendly.

I loved this place from before I went there. A bar specializing in whisky and beer, walking distance from my house, unbeatable!
I went with my wife last night, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The whisky selection is the best I’ve ever seen in a bar. The beer taps are impressive-looking, although I didn’t try any yet. The cocktails are well-made, well-presented, and tasty. The food is great, and well-paired. I would like to see a couple more options, but it’s not a deal breaker.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I feel like I could get to know them now this is my local. I think I’m going to be a regular.

The food was pretty good–tried the tacos (brisket and chicken). Would not recommend as a place to go by yourself, but would be fun with a group. I typically do not have any issues dining alone but the staff and other customers alike were quite awkward around me after learning I was by myself.

I didn’t know it had a liquor selection. Quite large. So the food selection is secondary. My friend had presto basil flatbread and pretzels, I had bbq chicken flatbread and beef lamb gyro. Very good.waiterade less contact as possible. Sitting in the shade was very nice. The outdoor patio had a backyard feel to it. Very nice.

A good selection of beers and cocktails here. Lots of IPAs. A little loud but still able to have a conversation. The Naan tacos were ok but the pretzel was fresh, warm and soft.

Solid beer selection; everything from IPA and IIPA to porters, stouts, and sours. Then there’s the extensive whiskey menu. In a word, impressive. I like that you can get different sized glasses of beer (reg pour and 5oz) and whiskey (1.5 & .5oz). The employees were legit cool too. Try the hummus, pretzel, wings, or one of the cheese plates – all delicious!
