We visited recently to check out the restaurant and try the food since our family was considering hiring them to cater a wedding this Spring. We were certainly impressed! Incredible food and top-notch service.
We had the eggplant appetizer, and I’m not a huge eggplant fan, but it was cooked very well and exploding with flavor. We chose the gluten-free version since my future sister-in-law has an intolerance. I ordered the parmesan crusted cod which was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Wow! The portions are large, so I had half leftover for lunch the following day.
Everyone ordered something different (steak, pork, pasta, and fish) and we all left full and happy! Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

While visiting Chicago, we discovered Nonno Pino’s through Google Reviews—and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
We started with the Nonno Puffs, which were a delightful and flavorful appetizer. For our mains, we had the pistachio-crusted chicken and a seasonal special: butternut squash pasta in a rich bourbon and butter sauce. Both dishes were outstanding. We ended the meal with a classic cannoli—crisp, creamy, and the perfect sweet finish.
The service was fantastic—warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

Exceptional on all levels. I hosted a funeral luncheon for 85 people and I could not have been happier. Mike was able to give us the entire restaurant from 12:30 to 4. We chose the family style meal, however, we asked for hot appetizers to be served in the bar area and we were accommodated. The bruschetta and Pino puffs were plentiful and delicious. The dinner was incredible. Caesar salad, chicken (flavorful beyond description), sausage and peppers, sautéed garlic broccoli, platters of homemade sweets. We chose to offer and include all cocktails, beer, wine for our guests. The bartender was on point even with chocolate martinis, anything a guest ordered was prepared perfectly. The service was stellar. There was never a dirty dish in sight. The food was replenished as often as needed. Kids were charged less than the adult rate. There was a tv to display the slide show and easels to put up photos. There was no detail overlooked. I received so many compliments on how perfect the event was. I also requested valet parking for guests for a small upcharge. I thank Mike and staff for helping me host the event I had hoped for, during a sad chapter of life.

Salmon is fresh and tasty. Service is great, old fashioned was one of the worst in the neighborhood. Attaching a picture , of a beat up cherry in a cup full of ice.

We had a wonderful experience at Nonna’s. The beet salad and lasagne are the best in town. The wait staff was exceptional and extremely attentive. The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy. We can’t wait to come back for another date night.

Nono Pino is the kind of tiny Italian neighborhood jewel that makes you believe in love at first bite, five radiant stars and then some. The moment you duck inside, the air is thick with garlic, woodsmoke, and the low hum of pure happiness as Pino himself works the open kitchen like a conductor, turning out blistery Neapolitan pizzas that are nothing short of art: leopard-spotted cornicione that crackles then gives way to the most tender, airy crumb you’ve ever met, topped with ingredients so fresh they taste like they were smuggled in from Campania this morning (San Marzano tomatoes that pop with sunshine, creamy fior di latte, basil that smells like summer). The margherita is perfection distilled, the cacio e pepe pie is a black-pepper bomb of joy, and the nightly specials (think pistachio mortadella or nduja with hot honey) will ruin you for every other pizza on earth. House wine flows freely, the playlist is 90s Italian pop you didn’t know you needed, and by the time you’re mopping up the last puddle of olive oil with that glorious crust, you’re already plotting excuses to come back tomorrow. Nono Pino doesn’t just serve pizza; it delivers tiny, delicious miracles every single night.
