It was pretty great food. Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest, and another gal came by to fill our drinks and take care of us. She was very nice. We had steaks, which tasted good and were cooked just right, just kind of tough. The potatoes, fries and toast all tasted great as well. We had pie and icecream for dessert, which was very nice. Would like to try out some burgers and more pie another time.

I have eaten here quite a few times, and the food is always good. The burgers and fries never disappoint. They also have a salad bar with the best chocolate cake on it. They have great service and are always friendly. Prices are really good to.

We stopped here to get a stamp in our Route 66. Turns out that’s a pretty good way to find a good local restaurant. I loved the family affair this place is. The lady at the counter was the owner and she told us they have been there for 48 years. Understandably so. The food was great. The pancakes were fluffy and the eggs tasted just like how my grandma makes them?

The food here is so delicious, the prices are so reasonable! I just had a taste of my husband’s chicken fried steak and it was the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had in my life! It was so tender you could cut it with the fork! I considered not leaving a review because I was afraid I may not be able to get in next time I come! By the way the service is also wonderful!

“Green Country Cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of the countryside! The Salisbury Steak Dinner is an absolute delight – tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Accompanied by hearty sides and served with a smile, it’s a must-try for anyone passing through. A true taste of comfort in a charming setting!”

A true, country, highway café where the locals and working folks eat. Nothing fancy. Friendly fast service. A good cup of coffee, that was kept full. A tasty breakfast cooked exactly as I ordered it. Great prices with daily specials. The menu doesn’t say, but I’m guessing that you can get breakfast all day. And yes, Oooh yeah, pie!
The café is at the intersection of Highway 59 and 60 at the Will Rogers Turnpike, Afton Exit. There is a large parking lot for Semi rigs.
Today’s country café table top advertising winner is Brown-Winters. They offer services that will warm your body and soul. Perfect timing for this cold spell. Check the pictures.

It was adequate for lunch while traveling on the interstate, but I would not choose this place again. The ranch on the salad was cheap restaurant supply and was way too tangy. Service was slow, had to ask for my roll, kids just hanging out inside. Food was just average.

The Green Country Cafe is a stop on the official Oklahoma Route 66 passport. It is a roadside diner that may be tempted to drive by but do yourself a favor and stop. The fried chicken is delicious and comes in a quarter or half portion and choice of meat is possible. The chili with beans and tater tots would be a perfect compliment for a cold day. Very delicious and we will come back!

My route 66 passport brought me here and I’m so glad that it did! The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. A must stop for anybody traveling along the old route! I definitely look forward to stopping by here again in the future.

This place is truly a real country Cafe! The menu has down home meals, solid good for you food, that’s delicious and a joy to eat. The place was packed when I came in, yet I was served my salad shortly after I my order was taken. Then the scrumptious hot beef sandwich came surprisingly about the same time as a fast food drive thru! And the apple pie was just like my granny’s, flaky crust and stuffed two inches thick! The wait staff were courteous and very friendly. This is a hidden treasure anyone visiting in the Grand Lake area should take the time to enjoy! (Forgive the messy plate, I took the photo after I ate half the meal, lol I was so full I had to take the pie to go!)
