Stopped in on a Sunday evening for coffee and thought the place was a nice spot. Loved my gingerbread latte. They had a round of bingo going when we walked in which was pretty neat. Next time I’ll definitely try some of the local brews.

If you are looking for a local spot that truly has it all, this bar and grill is it!

What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It is family-friendly, comfortable, and welcoming whether you are sitting inside, relaxing on the patio, or enjoying a drink at the bar. The owners clearly care about supporting local businesses, and you can see that through the local products they carry and the sense of community they have built.

The staff deserves a special mention too. Every visit, they are friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to make your experience great. It is rare to find a restaurant that combines excellent food, great drinks, and such a warm, down-to-earth vibe.

Whether you stop in for coffee and breakfast, meet friends for a drink, or bring the family for dinner, this spot is a must-try.

New favorite hangout in Rapid! Highly recommend this place to anyone that likes great food, awesome atmospheres, and amazing service this is the place to go. We had the bacon ranch pizza and it was great but we saw tons of people getting the nachos and heard everyone say they were to die for. Definitely trying the nachos on our next stay. Great outdoor patio as well.

Thanks to the owners and team of The Local for bringing a great taphouse and eatery to the south side. Everyone needs to check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Cheers!

My mother and I had being there with a different name before The Local. It was a former “Last Mile Brewery.” But it’s nice to see their business still here. Surprised that they have the breakfast and Grounded Coffee Company for coffee in the mornings.

We got the lunch there. Our drinks were Samuel Smith’s Winter Ale Welcome and Remedy Brewing Co.’s Queen Bee. Our foods were The Sheridan and The Canyon Lake Paninis. The Sheridan Panini was so freaking good! We were enjoying our beers. They have great local beers on tap there!

I love to get back to try the coffee in the morning there!

Love it here! Great family owned business, delicious food, a huge variety of drink options (espresso, tea, beer, wine, kombucha, soda) and an overall good vibe. So glad to have found this place or should I say so glad they found us! 🙂 Very dog friendly!

SO GREAT!
I was in South Dakota, for my nieces first birthday. And I was starving after my flight, so I was originally going to Starbucks, but on the way I found the local. My latte was amazing! Better than the ones in my local coffee shop. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Maggie Sandler.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem and a must try! Lots of beverage options with both coffee and alcohol and a variety of food selections from bagels to cheeses and lots in between. The atmosphere is wonderful with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is always pleasant and friendly! Great place to meet up with friends or family! Located conveniently off Sheridan Lake Road. Enjoy!

Locals and tourists alike will throughly enjoy The Local! Great food, drinks and service with reasonable prices. I had the raspberry chai frappe, the sugar daddy latte, the pork tamale, açaí bowl, while my dining companion had the avocado toast and a latte. My dining companion almost always puts sugar abs cream in his coffee and didn’t need to with this coffee. Everything is made fresh and local ingredients are used where possible. There are local beers with some from surrounding areas on tap. Dimock cheese is sold here too. When you stop in, be sure to ask where the bar is from. It’s a fun story!

We had a lovely time at The Local. Saw their Facebook advertisement and the food looked great so we had to visit! The place is stylishly decorated, lots of seating options and has a great staff. The food was as good as it looks! The Pactola was delicious and the tomato soup was bright and well balanced. As for drinks you have SO MANY OPTIONS! From beer to boba- there is something for everyone. We will be back and thank you to the owners for such a fun experience!

Cute coffee shop, my mocha tasted like regular coffee but that was the only downside. Super cool place with great vibes and friendly service. I’ve only been during the day for coffee so I cant speak for their on tap selection, I would go back and check it out at some point though.
