Wonderful restaurant with amazing service! The food was good and an overall great experience. We were celebrating an anniversary and were welcomed with a glass of champagne. They were easily able to adjust for a dairy allergy. Cocktails and the wine pairing were great. Would recommend.

We celebrated a birthday at 610 Magnolia and overall had a lovely evening. The ambience was warm and intimate, and the staff was gracious and attentive. A complimentary glass of champagne for the birthday was a thoughtful touch. Most dishes on the tasting menu were excellent, especially the soft-shell crab, sourdough bread, and red snapper. The price felt fair for the quality and presentation. However, service was slow at times, with one course taking nearly 30 minutes to arrive. While the kitchen kindly adapted the menu for pescatarians, the main course felt rushed and lacked cohesion. Cocktails were average and didn’t match the level of the food. Despite a few shortcomings, 610 Magnolia offers a memorable experience and is worth visiting—especially for a special occasion.

Note: a service charge is automatically added to the bill, so be aware when tipping.

We planned a trip to Louisville just to visit 610 Magnolia after watching Chef Lee on Culinary Class Wars. We are new to fine dining and absolutely loved the experience! We attempted to taste every combination of the ingredients and fully savor each dish and appreciate the creativity of the chef(s).
Even without particularly refined palates, we were able to spot the genius here and there and have an excellent time.
If you go into it with similar intentions, you will not be disappointed.

A place that is definitely worth a visit when you are in Louisville. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was really good, especially the lamb carpaccio (even if i am a lamb hater)! My only complain was that the wine pairing came really fast. Five minutes more interval before serving the next wine would have been appreciated. Who wants to have 2 glasses in-front while still finishing the previous plate. Otherwise great menu and flavors are really exquisite.

One of the best experiences I ever had at a restaurant. I wish I could give 10 out of 10 stars but I can’t (gosh darn you, Google).

All the pros:
1) The food was delicious and amazing. My husband, who grew up in Kentucky, told me that this restaurant’s bourbon-inspired dessert was the best he ever tried in his entire life. Impressed, I asked him: “Are you exaggerating?” and he smiled back and said: “No.”

2) The ambience of the restaurant itself was the right blend between being lively and being quiet enough that I can still enjoy my conversation with my husband who sat next to me. Sometimes, in other restaurants, I can’t hear my husband at all due to noise coming from other customers at other tables, or from the restaurants’ loudspeakers. Here, the atmosphere was perfect. The lighting was warm and cozy and it felt like a home.

3) The staff are kind, attentive and helpful – explaining everything that was brought to me on a plate and also making an appropriate accommodation for me when I told them I had a food allergy. I also didn’t feel rushed, which was important, because I was able to enjoy coffee and tea with my husband after dinner and we talked and laughed more.

All in all, I say this definitively: 610 Magnolia is a truly special, truly remarkable place and the best restaurant in Louisville.

The tasting menu was lovely. There were flavor and texture surprises throughout that made the meal really enjoyable. The bourbon aficionado dessert, the marinated cucumber, and the gnocchi were especially memorable.

We are just down home people and the food here is good… ish… not impressed. I wanted food I’d be stoked to be able to make at home and honestly I wouldn’t even think about serving any of the food in their full course at my house, it just wasn’t good enough but hey the cocktails had cool ice cubes.

I had a great time and loved the food. BUT you know sometimes there’s small things that can ruin a great thing. We were sat right next to the door. Um cold. The whole time and couldn’t even show off the dress. We seemed like the only table with the opposite person completely in front of them too. I couldn’t hear my fiancé talk all night. The music was so loud too. I felt like if I talked louder everyone would hear us but we literally couldn’t even speak. We also asked for a private area in our reservation. We got anything but. Food was great. Experience was not.

Edward Lee in Kentucky? Didn’t see that coming—until I did.
After catching him on Culinary Class Wars, I was surprised (and thrilled) to find out he had a spot just a few hours from Cincinnati. So we made a little road trip—two toddlers, one overnight bag, and zero regrets.

610 Magnolia is classy without being stiff. The food? Every bite lived up to the hype. Wine pairing was a knockout—My Favorite Neighbor might just be our new house white. The staff, absolute pros. They even gave us the heads-up that there’s no kids menu, so we McDonald’s’ed the kids ahead of time and handed them iPads while we savored each course. (Don’t worry, they got dessert. We’re not monsters.)

A top-tier dining experience that’s worth the drive—and the babysitter, if you can swing one.

Was expecting something better than what we experienced. Service was very kind and the room is nice, but the dishes never really came together for us and it was a kind of lackluster dinner. At these prices in Louisville, you would expect some thing absolutely over the top delicious and excellent. Even the old-fashioned which you kind of would expect to be a signature drink in Louisville, wasn’t my favorite.
