Rose used to be a good choice for me when I went for Indian in Swansea but I felt everything was outdated in this place – menu looked like it has had its day, food tasted very average (at the best), naan was dry and no flavour. The service was also cold – incorrect item was served and there was no acknowledgement of their mistake. Overall, I’d not be rushing to go back.

Friday night was very very busy. We didn’t reserve a table and were still accommodated.
Chicken shakuti was delicious and served piping hot.
The senior waiter was atentive and apologised as lots of the waiters were new.

Absolutely loved every bite!
Every dish was packed with flavour – truly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I was starting with the onion bhaji, crispy and delicious. The saag aloo and coconut rice were outstanding.
I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Swansea. All the staff were welcoming and friendly – special shout-out to Imran for his exceptional service. Highly recommend this place!

We had friends visiting and after a busy day decided to have a takeaway. Initially there was some confusion because one person has a nut allergy and the resteraunt said they’d need to check before accepting our order and call us back, but they didn’t call us back, we had to call them. Food came quickly and one of the dishes had leaked, and 2 naans were also missing from the order. Having been returning customers to Rose Indienne over the years, we found the food to be quite average on this occasion and would probably choose somewhere else next time.

Amazing desserts. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I will come again for sure. We had the vegan chocolate cake and the pineapple coconut one. Both with an exquisite flavor and a very good presentation.

We had a decent meal on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was very quiet with only 1 other table occupied. Meal of chicken tikka madras was tasty enough. Partners jalfrezi was a little too hot for her taste, but the dish itself was fine. Wine was expensive with the cheapest red on the list weighing in at a hefty £18.95 for an unremarkable bottle.

I ordered Lamb Shank( it comes with gravy and Kashmiri rice), Lamb Chops, Paratha. Lamb Shank is ok but too much oil( hugs portion – one full lamb leg will be served). Lamb chops was little hard and taste also ok. I expected Paratha with Maida flour but it is prepared with aata flour. Vegetables balti is also good but you need to be clear with the waiter on which vegetables you need on that.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Rose Indienne. Ordered a lamb shank and was surprised not just at the value for money, but also at how tasty it was! Service was prompt and the restaurant was very flexible with payment methods.
Would highly recommend for lovers of a good Indian in a traditional-looking setting.
