I had been wanting to try this place but somehow it never worked out, I finally found out why.

Such a cute space, perfect mix of elevated and casual feel that was a great atmosphere for a recent birthday dinner with family! The food was tasty and interesting, drinks were great- the rumspringa cocktail was a particular hit and the chocolate espresso cake was so delicious! We enjoyed flipping through some of the books out on display and overall had a nice lazy dinner.

Great first time, Saturday lunch. Service was quick and helpful. Seemed like a really large cocktail menu. We were at the shift from brunch to regular menu. My wife had the smash burger and I had the fried chicken thigh, amazing collard green and biscuit sandwich. We will be back. Salem has improved in the restaurant scene. And this is one of the reasons.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Finally, the best restaurant in our little river valley has expanded in a beautiful corner building. Not only can you dine with plenty of elbow room, but you have at least four “sections” to sit in. We love to sit at the bar and watch the staff working away in the kitchen. Truthfully, we love everything about the place. The Smashburger is fist-down the finest in Salem, and as an old Philly girl myself, I verify that the Philly Steak is the real deal. Kind and attentive staff. Full bar. An actual library! Nothing disappoints.

I’ve been hearing good things about this place. I finally ventured out. I loved the vibe from the moment I walked in and actually it started before I arrived by whomever answered the phone. She was very welcoming and professional and explained the rules which I was absolutely OK with.

Everything was incredible. Got some mock tails, which was nice for brunch. I was so impressed with the food, I’m usually not a big fan of biscuits and gravy, but this changed my mind.

Had the burger, looked better than it tasted, pretty dry, probably sitting under the heat lamp, (was not hot). Had the cheese fries. Tasted like they sound. It was ok. Nothing to rave about. Tried it once , no need to do it again. Service is average.

We had a fantastic brunch. Quaint and friendly environment with vegan and vegetarian options that are packed full of innovative flavors. I would recommend the chicken and waffles with its southern charm. The chicken had a savory crispiness and a touch of southern sweetness for a great balance.
