From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, making our special occasion feel even more memorable.
The food was everything we had hoped for and more. The dumplings were amazing to start, and the Mai Tai I ordered was exceptionally well-balanced and delicious. For our entrees, we got the Orange Chicken and the Chow Fun, and both were absolutely incredible. You can taste the quality and care that goes into each dish – everything was cooked to perfection.
We had zero issues and loved every minute of our dining experience. For anyone who loves the quick-service Panda Express and has been thinking of trying the original restaurant, I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a fantastic dining experience that lives up to the legacy. We will definitely be back on our next trip to California! Thank you @Panda for making this such a great experience.
The dishes are very Americanized, and there’s options for different spice levels to cater to different palettes. I wouldn’t recommend the sushi personally, as the one baked roll dish we got was covered in melted shredded cheese. The mapo tofu on the other hand was flavorful and worth taking home for leftovers. This place has had its stamp on the downtown Glendale area for over two decades now, but I think it could really afford to step up its menu. The aesthetic of the restaurant and its design is on one level, and unfortunately the food was just not meeting my expectations in comparison. There’s something about going to a mid-priced Asian dining establishment and not seeing any Asian families there that should be indicative of a problem here. I hope to have my mind changed about this place soon.
Some might say it’s the same as Panda Express, and let me tell you, it’s not!
The service, food and options as well as the portions, is worth every dollar!
The Honey Walnut shrimp is amazing!!
Panda Express always gives me 5-7 shrimps, but that isn’t enough for me so that’s how I ended up here for my first time earlier this year. Haha!
OH!! The Crab Wontons… If you’re not allergic, please do yourself a favor and order this delicious delicacy.
Fortune cookies are a bit different too – don’t forget to ask for them.
I personally wouldn’t rush back, but it offers a nice ambience so it’s always an option on a blue moon.
