We flew in from Tampa, Florida, for a wedding and a late anniversary celebration; deciding that the Panda Inn was at the very top of our list of things we couldn’t miss. Both being originally from California and huge fans of Panda Express, it felt like an honor to finally experience where it all began.

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, making our special occasion feel even more memorable.

The food was everything we had hoped for and more. The dumplings were amazing to start, and the Mai Tai I ordered was exceptionally well-balanced and delicious. For our entrees, we got the Orange Chicken and the Chow Fun, and both were absolutely incredible. You can taste the quality and care that goes into each dish – everything was cooked to perfection.

We had zero issues and loved every minute of our dining experience. For anyone who loves the quick-service Panda Express and has been thinking of trying the original restaurant, I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a fantastic dining experience that lives up to the legacy. We will definitely be back on our next trip to California! Thank you @Panda for making this such a great experience.

Had the best food. My cousin ordered a dish we didn’t really like, the server immediately asked, if we were enjoying the food, we said it was not what we thought it would be… Nothing wrong with the dish… Just different… The server asked if we wanted to replace the dish… Which we did. Was absolutely beautiful… At no extra expense…we enjoyed the food, can’t wait for next time…

We got takeout, and Panda Inn delivers excellent Chinese food. Every dish we tried tasted great, showing good quality and flavor across the board. The standout item (for me) is the Hot and Sour Soup…it’s the perfect balance between hot, sour, and all the right notes in one place. Great food and attentive service make Panda Inn a 5/5.

If you like Panda Express then Panda Inn is a must try place for you. It is owned by the same company of the Panda Express but upscaled it towards a more fine dining experience. You can pretty much expect all the dishes of express plus extra other unique dishes. The service was excellent, the interior design is classy, but it does come with the higher price tag.

This place has been a hit/miss as of late. On my most recent visit, the paper menus offered were stained and I found that my soup spoon still had remnants of sticker adhesive from a price tag on it and. That being said, my hot and sour soup was still very tasty.
The dishes are very Americanized, and there’s options for different spice levels to cater to different palettes. I wouldn’t recommend the sushi personally, as the one baked roll dish we got was covered in melted shredded cheese. The mapo tofu on the other hand was flavorful and worth taking home for leftovers. This place has had its stamp on the downtown Glendale area for over two decades now, but I think it could really afford to step up its menu. The aesthetic of the restaurant and its design is on one level, and unfortunately the food was just not meeting my expectations in comparison. There’s something about going to a mid-priced Asian dining establishment and not seeing any Asian families there that should be indicative of a problem here. I hope to have my mind changed about this place soon.

It is a very nice place which sets high expectations but the food was just decent/good not very good. Some of the dishes including the soup were not very hot. The Wagyu beef chowfun came out hot and was pretty good, tho I wouldn’t pay for the Wagyu option next time. Sweet and sour pork was on par with most Chinese restaurants. Spent $150 for five people before tip, so it wasn’t super expensive.

This is my second time at Panda Inn and it is worth the visit.

Some might say it’s the same as Panda Express, and let me tell you, it’s not!

The service, food and options as well as the portions, is worth every dollar!

The Honey Walnut shrimp is amazing!!

Panda Express always gives me 5-7 shrimps, but that isn’t enough for me so that’s how I ended up here for my first time earlier this year. Haha!

OH!! The Crab Wontons… If you’re not allergic, please do yourself a favor and order this delicious delicacy.

Fortune cookies are a bit different too – don’t forget to ask for them.

Great service I was far impressed! As for the flavors, there was a lot left to desire. Nothing punched with memorable impact and left me wanting more. Soups were so-so and portions can be made larger if desired for all of the dishes.
I personally wouldn’t rush back, but it offers a nice ambience so it’s always an option on a blue moon.
