Suttree’s in downtown Knoxville is such a gem! The ramen here is absolutely fantastic — rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and great toppings that all come together beautifully. You can tell everything is made with care. The vibe inside is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It’s the perfect spot to grab a comforting bowl of ramen downtown. Highly recommend to anyone craving great food and good atmosphere!

Suttree’s High Gravity Tavern has a cool, eclectic vibe with vintage pinball machines, arcade games, and live local music that gives it a fun, throwback feel. They’ve got a great selection of craft beers and some really unique ramen options.
I had Matt’s Ramen (Regular) and the broth was bold and full of flavor. I added smoked brisket, scallions, and a poached egg, which made it even better.
To drink, we tried the Cup PB&J Mixtape Sour. It seriously tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Sweet, tart, and super nostalgic. Definitely not your average beer.
We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip, quesadillas, and Rise & Shine Ramen.

We have been coming here for years and always get the outstanding Ramen and local meats you can add to the Ramen. Today we ventured out and got a quesadilla with added jalapeños. It was absolutely delicious as well as the homemade salsa that comes with it. It has an amazing splash of roasted garlic and honey! It is amazing what the little splash of honey does for the salsa!
The staff is amazing and very friendly.
If you are a local or just in town for a night and love ramen or want to snack this is a must try place.

We LOVE coming to Suttrees!
Hannah and Andy are the sweetest bartenders in town, and the ramen is phenomenal. They had a refrigerator go out last week, so they didn’t have a kitchen open, and Hannah let us bring in takeout so we could still hang out at our favorite spot!
The only thing we don’t like is the new system for music, as it seems like the same ole playlists are used all of the time.
Previously the bartenders had control of the music and we could make requests. It seems like they’ve taken away the punk rock feel of the bar. Still worth a visit though!

Great Ramen! And amazing drafts! It took a little for the Ramen to come to us, but that’s understandable when staff doesn’t show up. Give them a shot! You will absolutely go back!

A great hole in the wall type place in Knoxville. How they make instant noodle ramen taste so good is beyond me. Got their house special (Spicy) and I will definitely be back.
It was kind of a slow night at first but picked up, and the flow of ramen bowls out of the kitchen has to tell you something.
Also, their selection of beers is extensive, and even have 4 or more sours on tap.
The service was not overly nice, but was quick and amicable. If you check your feelers at the door they won’t get hurt, and you will get your drinks and food in a timely manner.
Good food, good selection of drinks, tavern atmosphere, and down to earth people. Worth checking out!
