This is the BEST Mexican food in Metro East.
Having moved here from California we were constantly disappointed at the local Mexican restaurants. That’s until someone recommended 3 De Mayo.
The food is spectacular. We have never had a bad meal here. The service is fine. Chips and salsa are delicious. Wait staff always accommodates special requests.
Can’t wait to go back again!

The food came quick, it was good. The place unfortunately is not very inviting, nor we’re the workers attentive. I had the barria tacos & although they tacos themselves were decent, the “engine oil” or sauce was not as tasty. Still the food overall wasn’t bad.

The food was great, I enjoyed my birria tacos but the margaritas were very very watered down and had just mix flavoring. It was a small place which is okay but it would be nice if the waitresses spoke up a little bit lol. We also got charged way more than we ordered but the lady was nice enough to fix it! If you want some authentic Mexican you have to go to this place. They have a large menu with a large variety and everything is cooked to order. I had some of the best taquitos I ever had in my life, nothing like QuikTrip lol. They have the biggest Margaritas I’ve ever seen in my whole life! You literally get a whole pitcher to yourself. The chips were good the queso is good. Large portions and good service. I had to go back the next day. Ain’t nothing like REAL Mexican food.

Super authentic Mexican food! Everything was so delicious, and the servers were very attentive. If I lived here this would definitely be my go to for Mexican food. I would recommend the Jamaica! I love that they have nopales as an option. Great vegetarian choices! And they have paletas!! ♥️

Had the El pastor and chorizo tacos and they were delicious. Waitress was nice and very helpful. Went back and tried basically Ramon made with birria consume and tacos to dip, holy hell that is good!

I dream about their taquitos 3 de Mayo. If I know I’m going to get them, I will think about them all week. Love, love, love their barbacoa. They also carry Bufalo Clasica, which has quickly become one of my favorite Mexican hot sauces.

I had mole for the first time and it was excellent! The tortillas served on the side were warm, fresh and homemade. I will definitely be back! Real & authentic Mexican food is served here.
