We stopped in for breakfast. We had omelets. Extra side of toast, and a side of bacon. About $45 including tip for two us us. Not to bad. The vegetables inside my omelet were cut, and cooked to perfection. I was surprised to hear the radio playing rap music so early in the morning, with all the older folks that like to enjoy breakfast. The restaurant does look a little out dated. But I would stop in again if driving through. I bought a small loaf of zucchini bread on the way out. It was spectacular!

Title: A Hidden Gem in the Hill Country
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Little Country Diner, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Tucked away along State Highway 71, this unassuming spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like stepping into a friend’s cozy kitchen.
Service: 5/5 The service here is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your dining experience enjoyable. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile, and they go out of their way to ensure you feel right at home.
Soup: 4.5/5 Now, let’s talk about the soup. If you’re a soup lover like me, you’re in for a treat. The daily soup specials are made from scratch, and they hit the spot on a chilly day. Whether it’s a hearty chicken noodle, a comforting tomato bisque, or a flavorful chili, you won’t be disappointed. Pair it with their fresh-baked bread, and you’ve got a winning combination.
Menu Variety: 4/5 While the focus is on classic American comfort food, the menu offers a nice variety. From chicken-fried steak to Philly cheesesteak omelets, there’s something for everyone. And don’t miss their cucumber salad – it’s light, refreshing, and a perfect side.
Atmosphere: 4/5 The diner has a rustic charm, with checkered tablecloths and vintage decor. It’s the kind of place where locals gather for breakfast chats and travelers find solace in a warm cup of coffee. If the weather is nice, grab a seat on the outdoor patio and soak in the Texas sunshine.
Value: 5/5 The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. You won’t leave hungry, and your wallet won’t feel too light either.
In summary, the Little Country Diner is a delightful spot that captures the essence of small-town hospitality. Whether you’re passing through or a regular, you’ll leave with a full belly and a smile. Don’t miss this hidden gem in the heart of the Hill Country!

Another great meal!

I had the Farmer’s Omelette and my mom had a smaller meal of one waffle and egg. Both were fresh, hot and delicious. Maria and the other staff took amazing care of us.

I love coming here when I visit family. This is my hometown and supporting the businesses here is a privilege

If you’ve ever read my bio you’ll know why I have high standards. There’s no replacement for the personable service and made to order food you get in a farm community. Every food establishment should aim for this kind of service.

They only had one lady waiting tables, busting tables, and cashing customers out. She was doing her best to keep up, but you could tell she needed help. The food was pretty good. The first bite of my pancakes tasted like onions. Like the kitchen crew didn’t clean off the utensils in between orders, and the last bite had a really crusty part, so that tasted weird. The inside of the building was very clean and homie feeling, though!

Passing through on the motorcycle we stopped in for breakfast at 9 AM me and my girlfriend walk straight to The booth sat down. the place was full of people within 10 minutes we made our order within 20 minutes we were eating our breakfast. The service was phenomenal. Note:The service was amazing considering the fact the restaurant was full of customers and there was only two servers and they were awesome servers and friendly to-boot. our food was delicious. Thank you country café I will return next time I’m passing through your town. follow me in my travels on Instagram at mylifemyterms55

Classic, cozy, small town café, super conveniently located right off the main drag. Probably the best local restaurant to take your mega picky eater for a delicious, stress fre classic American meal.

First thing says short staffed on the door which is fine we know that happens. One waitress who busted her chops and did great. But the food was not right. I couldn’t taste my bacon it was like it was soaked in veggie oil and left, the coffee just had a funnier taste and I didn’t want another cup, and the waffles had no real flavor and the syrup was cheap condiment containers that seemed less favorable. The hash browns tasted good. Husband had Mexican omelet and he said it was good but didn’t want more coffee neither. Nice environment and decorations in here. Just the food on menu needs updated.

My fiance called and order food for pickup, waited the time they told us. Went to pick up our food and they didn’t even put in the order to the cook. Not the first time they forgot orders either. Ended up waiting even longer for food that wasn’t even right. Super small portions and missing items. Make sure you double check your order before you pay.
