This Indian restaurant was a great find! The dishes were rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced especially the butter chicken and garlic naan. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a nice balance of cozy and elegant. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall, really good food and atmosphere definitely worth visiting again! ✨

In my pursuit of finding the best Hyderabadi Biryani in Windsor region, I did a taste test of Dum Biryani from 2 places – Zauq and Royal Nawab’s. (Takeout)

While the Royal nawabs didn’t have great presentation or packaging 3/5, they make it up with the taste and price.
At $16+tax for a Regular size 5/5
the Biryani was more flavorful and Tasty 4/5
comes with basic raita, salan which tasted decent. 4/5
Overall rating 4/5.

Zauq Biryani was relatively more expensive at $19+tax compared to other restaurants in the Windsor region. 3/5
Presentation and packaging was great. 5/5
Portion size and chicken was decent for a regular 4/5
However, when it comes to what matters most- the taste, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The aroma is great but when I tasted, it lacked flavor and felt more flat for a dum Biryani. The biryani spice taste didn’t come through. 2/5
The raita accompaniment was not tasty and they don’t provide Salan either. 1/5
Overall rating. 3/5

The restaurant was a delight. Reshma’s service was warm and very attentive. She’s so sweet!! and the food was simply yum. The standout was the ghee‑mutton chargrilled, which absolutely stole the show with its rich flavor and perfect char it did just melt in the mouth. Highly recommend for a comforting, well‑served meal. below are the pictures of butter garlic prawns, mutton chargrilled, chicken manchurian fried rice and chicken hakka noodles !

Royal Nawab’s in Windsor for the first time — and honestly, it was a good experience.
The place has a nice, calm vibe. It’s clean, comfortable, and not too loud. I liked the setup — good for both solo and group meals. Parking was super easy, which is always a plus.

I went for a vegetarian meal this time. Ordered dessert Everything came fresh, hot, and tasted really good. Not too oily, not too bland just right. The veg biryani had a nice mix of spices, and the paneer was soft and flavourful.

The staff was friendly and made sure everything was okay without being over the top. Service was smooth and quick.

If you’re looking for Indian food in Windsor that’s well-balanced with good taste, clean ambience, and easy parking, Royal Nawab’s is an option.

I must’ve tried over a hundred Indian restaurants, so when I say the Paneer Tikka Masala at Royal Nawab’s was the best I’ve ever had, I do not mean it lightly. The dish had a depth of flavour I had not yet experienced in my entire life. Some restaurant over rely on oil, while others over-season, whereas Nawab perfectly balances the two to deliver a culinary experience you are unlikely to find elsewhere. The Garlic naan was perfectly fluffy, serving as a great vehicle for the paneer.

Seriously, stop reading this review, and just go – you will not regret it.

Their biryani is finally back and it’s absolutely worth it. Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Mutton Ghee Roast curry is a must-try, packed with authentic spices and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. On top of that, the variety of breads they offer is simply amazing.

Truly a treat for anyone who loves authentic, delicious food. Highly recommend!

Truly disappointed with the food today in my visit
Ordered soup naans and kadai chicken
Soup and naan were good but kadai chicken is not at all satisfied
I told them to make it spicy
But it looks like spicy means just adding chilli powder or chilli paste to the curry
This was told by their manager,
Also the quantity was not full.
Hope you guys rectify this and make me give a 5 star in my next visit.

Thank you Sharin for the lovely experience! Your music taste is impeccable.

The food’s really good here (flavourful, right spice levels) – the chicken 555 is a must.
