I don’t know what’s going on but is this place closed? No lights are on and the entrance and back windows are blocked. If they are doing construction I wonder why there’s no sign and it took over 5 months? I hope this place is open otherwise it’s permanently closed.

We have been going to Falafel Express since they were at their original location off 99. This is a small family owned business, Abu Muhammad and his family have been offering excellent authentic Palestinian cuisine since they first opened and probably the only one of its kind locally. My favorite dish by far is Chicken Shawarma whether as a chicken Arabi, wrap or plate form, it is special to the Gaza region, he prepares it from scratch and it is delicious, if you have time I would recommend his Kebabs they are excellent and made to orders so freshness is guaranteed, his prices are very reasonable for the generous portions he offers, their service is fast and offer great customer service. Highly recommended!

Review based on a food delivery during Covid-19 times. 10 Falafel balls were very crispy and flavorful. The chicken shawarma platter and kafta kebab platter with rice, salad, hummus could be better, but won’t be ordering again. The pita bread was the thinner type, but we were hoping for the thicker pillowy soft type. The hummus itself is standard. May try their wraps next time.

I moved here in June of 2024 and I have been struggling to find a good Mediterranean restaurant. Everywhere I looked I would see outrageous prices of $18 for chicken shawarma. I literally couldn’t justify spending that much and not even getting any hummus or pita or anything else with it. But I saw a TikTok where someone reviewed this place and I gave it a shot. I couldn’t have been more pleased! The service was fantastic and he was super nice! The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. Finally found some quality, well priced food! Please go support this business!

Food is fantastic, very authentic. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are very reasonable. The restaurant is super clean. The reason for 3 stars is that the owner is a jerk. Bad attitude. You can see it clearly from his responses here. I have been going here since he was on 99 in Tigard, I see that he has maintained the quality of the food AND his bad attitude and arrogance.
Edit: see the response from owner. He just doesn’t see himself as a sorry excuse for customer service. All the customers who have issues are wrong and he’s always right. Bro I came in, you hardly lifted your head from your conversation with your visiting buddy. Also, my review about your awful attitude is also based on your attitude I witnessed when you were on 99. Maybe take what people are seeing to heart, reflect, and change your behavior instead of attacking every single person who leaves a negative comment. You need to grow up and act like a business owner instead of like a petulant toddler.
