Years ago was excited to see all the locations opening in the southwest metro. This morning I noticed all but one has closed. My favorite was Chaska, perfectly cooked, prompt delivery. Eden Prairie tended to undercook, where Chan always overcook. I always felt that the Chan location had them pre-prepared and cooked. Pizza’s tended to be overcooked and dry.
So when Chaska closed due to franchisee issues I was left wondering where to go. Only location near me was the Chanhassen one. Was willing to go for a little bit of a ride to either the one east of Excelsior, or the one in Shakopee like I said earlier they are now closed. I had a gift card that I wanted to use so off to Chanhassen I go.
Surprise surprise surprise the pizza was delicious. Hot, fresh, perfect leopard spots on the cheese.
I’m now thinking maybe they grew too fast and the franchise and crew just don’t follow the rules. I will be giving the Chan location another try as I feel this was a huge turn around for them.

We had the bbq chicken pizza. It had a nice thin crust and lots of cheese and other toppings. We all graded it an “A”. We also had a supreme style pizza, also with a nice quantity of toppings, we graded it a “B” for taste. Crust was thin, but not too thin. The prices were higher than average, particularly the supreme style. Overall grade a B+.

Been a loyal customer for years but just recently had a horrible delivery experience. 1 hr 22 min until it was delivered. Pizza was cold and smushed to one side of the box. Very disappointing.

We got a half cheese and half Angry Aloha pizza and the Mac and cheese. My daughter loves the Mac and cheese and I love the Angry Hawaiian… it was pretty zippy and tasty if you like spice. We did pick up and they were friendly and fast. Got a free cookie coupon with my order so looking forward to returning soon to try their cookies!!

I love cracker crust with toppings 2-3x thicker than the crust.

Now listen here, partner.

I’ve eaten pizza from the backroads of Alabama to the bright lights of Nashville, but when I get a hankerin’ for something real, something bold, loud, and unapologetically Minnesota nice with a punch, I point my pickup straight toward Red’s Savoy.

This ain’t your foo-foo, wood-fired, artisan drizzled nonsense. No sir. This is square-cut, cheese-blanketed, sausage-loaded, sweet-‘n-spicy sauce slingin’ like a Telecaster on a Saturday night. That “Sota-style” they talk about? It’s the real deal. Crust that holds up like a steel-string, toppings piled higher than my mama’s hair in church, and enough zing in the sauce to make you do a little two-step right there in the booth.

Red’s don’t whisper flavor, they crank it up to 11, just like I do with my amps. And that first bite? That’s like hittin’ the chorus of “Family Tradition” with a full house singin’ along.

If you love pizza and ain’t tried Red’s yet… well, friend, you ain’t lived. This is bar pizza with attitude. The kind that sticks to your ribs and your memories. Makes you wanna write a song about it.

So grab a cold one, call up some buddies, and dive into the loudest, proudest pizza this side of the Mississippi.

Red’s Savoy: it’s not just pizzas, it’s a honky-tonk in a box.

I really didn’t like it. The taste of the pizza is horrible. The customer service is terrible and the manager is rude. I would never eat there.

This is the second time we have picked up Red’s Savoy Pizza for a large family function and we couldn’t be more pleased with the food and service. The person at the Chanhassen location I spoke with on the phone on 1/13 & 1/14 is the BEST – sorry I didn’t get his name. Very pleasant, patient, and helpful. He made sure we got exactly what we wanted and it was delicious!
