Ate here a couple of times before with friends and family. In my opinion, place could use a little work on customer service and the food presentation.
Ordered the dinner special General tao chicken that comes along with fried rice, egg roll and orange chicken. Which was not a bad deal. Disappointed that the general tao chicken was mainly peanuts. Should have named the dish peanut. Felt like I ate more peanuts that chicken. Even the orange chicken tasted better. As I have included a picture of a little bite of everything….u can see all the peanut to the top left. Yeah that was supposed to be general tao chicken. u see any chicken? Lol

My sister annd I came here and ordered the garlic chicken special and the garlic beef special. She asked for extra garlic and extra spicy not only was there absolutely no garlic flavor in either of our dishes. They’re also was no spice at all. On top of that, the rice on her plate was very hard and cold like they had Used old rice The hatch and sour soup also was not Very traditional it was not the usual color that it’s supposed to be, and it had a wierd twist to it and so did the eggrolls The rice, the meat and the egg rolls were all cold, not even a little bit of steam to them zero out of 10 the customer service was good but it was too fast I see why my food wasn’t hot

!!BEWARE!! Do NOT eat at this location.

My coworker and I decided to try a new restaurant in the Brooklyn Park area. After a quick search, we came across this establishment. After reading (mostly) positive reviews, we decided to give it a shot.

We should’ve known it was going to be some B.S when we entered and there were only two customers. This was at lunch time.

When we got seated, we immediately noticed the lack of hygiene and sanitation throughout the establishment. The silverware holders, cups, and sauces were all open and glued with food and sticky unknown substances. It was truly disgusting. We refused to use the cups and ordered a canned drink instead.

At one point, our server brought out a bucket of dishes from the back of the restaurant to the front of the restaurant and started cleaning the dishes in front of the customers.

I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special and an order of oyster wings. My coworker ordered the Pho #3 with brisket. The server brought the food out in less than 5 minutes. The oyster wings had a pungent, rotten smell. I did not eat the chicken wings. My coworker took a single bite of their pho and spat it out. The pho was inedible because the meat was rotten. When they brought the pho out, the broth was a dark brown color compared to the typically clear broth you see at other establishments. At this point, we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. We asked the server if they could remove the pho from our bill (the least they could do for serving inedible food) and they refused. His excuse was “well you already ordered it so there is nothing we can do about it.” The food was the opposite of fresh and tasty.

See the attached pictures I took from this establishment. The pictures show the lack of sanitation and the disgusting conditions of this establishment. the pictures also show the before and after pictures from the moment we received our food to the moment we left.

Overall, it was a really good place to eat. It was very quiet and you could hear the other person talk. Which I find important. If you love orange chicken, this is a good place to have some. But if you can handle spice! Chicken has a little kick to it. But overall, it’s very good. Shrimp Lo Mein is one of the best I’ve tried and lots of yummy vegetables. Also, it’s very big portions for very low cost. Would definitely recommend it!

Mandarin is a must-visit for pho lovers! Their broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The lunch menu offers great variety, making it easy to find something satisfying. The cream cheese wontons are crispy and perfectly cooked, with a creamy filling that hits the spot. To top it off, their Thai dessert fruit drink is a refreshing, vibrant treat. Plus, their waitress Ellen goes above and beyond, ensuring every customer feels welcomed and cared for. A standout dining experience!

Dine-in: Their customer service was good and the food was served quickly, nothing I can complain about.
Takeout: Food was ready when I arrived, wish the dishes were more balanced between meat and vegetables.

I’ve been here a couple times, both early lunch and late dinner. I’ve had both the Pho and Bun Bo hue. I love their broth for the Pho its honestly the best out of the other local Pho restaurants in terms of flavor. BBH was okay. It didn’t like their broth as much but it was loaded with lots of meats. The service is really good, I appreciate there were checking on us with refill water and if the food was to our liking. Very kind people. 2 things I think they could improve on is the cleanliness of the store like the condiments thats out and secondly is their pricing is just a bit expensive (but still comparable to local restaurants .) Overall I would recommend this place for its flavorful broth and great service.
