In a city where it seems 90% of the restaurants serve greasy burgers, this was a refreshing change. You can select seafood, pork, beef or chicken with steamed veg and white or brown rice. They also ask how hot you want it from 1-5. I ordered the garlic chicken. It was tasty, and a good portion for $16. Ill return the next time I visit Tacoma!

I spent $16 on the garlic tofu to have a total of 6 pieces of tofu in the whole dish, and a ton of carrots nobody wants. Spent $12 on the tofu tod for the equivalent of half a block of tofu (a full block costs $1.99). For tofu and vegetables, the prices are insane. Do Better.

Incredible experience. The depth of flavor here is unmatched—it hits every taste bud perfectly. Their soups are a masterclass in Thai cuisine. Beyond the food, the service is remarkably efficient and fast. If you like authentic spice levels and high-quality ingredients, this is the spot.

I can confidently say this is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m a regular and come here at least once a week — the food is always incredible and the service goes above and beyond. Jack, the host, always makes my cousin and me feel truly valued, and Chef Young is the reason we fell in love with this place in the first place. The whole team works tirelessly to serve the most flavorful Thai food in Tacoma. A must-try.

I’m sorry to say, but my order tonight was inedible. I have ordered before from here and had mixed feelings, but tonight was too much. First, I ordered the crab wontons, and it was very clear that the crab had gone off. Second, I ordered green Curry. I ordered a three star spice level. I usually order three or four from almost any Thai place. Tonight though I could hardly get it down it was so spicy. I didn’t even eat a quarter of it. Very disappointing.

We came to Thai Chili for the first time this week and, overall, had very tasty dishes. As Thai Food “foodies”, we are always on the look out for a good Thai place. We ordered the Crab Ragoons, Basil Beef and the Massaman Curry (Pork). Our meals started off with a steaming hot bowl of hot and sour soup which was quite good. The Crab Ragoons were delicious and very “crabby tasting”. We both loved them.
The Basil Beef had a wonderful balance of flavors and plenty of mushrooms! The Massaman Curry was the star dish! Absolutely delish! The atmosphere was pleasant and with the exception of a rather sticky table, nice to dine in. We will be back!!

This all cost me nearly $50 dollars. This is pathetic. The serving sizes used to be so much bigger. Save your money and buy entrees that will actually fill you.

It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten here. Last time, I remember the staff being very attentive. This time, not so much. We were not offered a water refill until after we paid our bill.
When we walked in, we were ushered to the first table. We sat down and immediately noticed a dead bug on the table. Okay. That’s fine. Then we look around to see nasty window ledges, spattered food on the window and curtains, the floor was dirty, etc. if the dining room looks like that shortly after opening, what is going on in the kitchen?
The toilets were clean, but nothing else in the bathroom was. And you have to wave like you’re waving to a relative you haven’t seen in 20 years, just to get a paper towel out of the dispenser. Frustrating.
We received our food in a very reasonable time. Around 10 minutes. The food was very tasty, but spiced heavier than the typical Thai restaurant. I ordered a 2, but it was more like a 3. So, I recommend ordering a 1 if you would like a 2.
My wife had Rama Garden with chicken and I had cashew chicken. She loved hers, but halfway through my cashew chicken, I realized there were no cashews. I knew something was missing.
Overall, the food was good. Would have been better with all ingredients. The cleanliness is poor. And the staff is nice, but inattentive.
We will go elsewhere from now on.

I had great food at Chili Thai’s Puyallup location a few years back, so I decided to give this location a try. I did a to-go order of crab wontons and chicken Phad Thai. The wontons themselves were okay, however the dipping sauce they come with was extremely sour. I was pretty bummed about that since the sauce is usually my favorite part. The Phad Thai was okay. It kind of lacked flavor and didn’t have as much chicken as I would have expected. If I give Chili Thai another try, it will probably be at the Puyallup location as I’ve had good food there in the past.

Do not go here especially if you are of the ethnic pursuasion. Staff was overheard making racist comment after I mistakenly spilled a glass of water at our table. This comment was made behind our backs even after tipping them on this expensive food that wasn’t worth the cost. When I challenged them about their comment, they denied making the statement although they were clearly heard by my wife who was nearby. We will never spend our money here again. Be careful where you go to eat— Some of the people handling your food have no respect for it—or you.” If Google would let me rate a 0 stars I would.
