We had a wonderful Valentine’s dinner at Yume Japanese Restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and intimate with beautiful Japanese wood décor and soft lighting, perfect for date night. The tables are well spaced and they also have private rooms, which makes the experience even more comfortable. The Takoyaki was crispy outside and soft inside, the Chicken Curry Katsu arrived sizzling in a hot stone bowl with perfectly crispy chicken and flavorful Japanese-style curry, and the Kuro Mayu Ramen had a rich black garlic tonkotsu broth that was bold but not too heavy. The Beef Teriyaki Hot Stone was tender and fragrant over garlic butter rice, and the Uni Toro roll was beautifully balanced and felt extra special for the occasion. Overall, the food quality is consistent, portions are generous, and service is attentive. A great spot for dates, anniversaries, or special celebrations.

Tried Yume in Montebello and really liked it. Cozy vibe with warm lighting and booth seating, and everything looks great for photos. The Premium Sushi Combo was fresh, thick-cut, and beautifully plated. The truffle unagi sashimi was a standout, especially the truffle one. We also ordered the Ex-Girlfriend Roll — it’s no rice, super soft and delicate, and surprisingly good. The cocktails were pretty and tasted great, definitely something a lot of girls would enjoy. Nice spot for a date.

It’s right by Montebello, and it’s only about a 20-minute drive from the SGV Chinese area, so getting here is super convenient.
They have a huge variety of hand rolls, which makes choosing really fun.
We ordered the Grab Hand Roll Combo, so we could try multiple flavors in one go.

We had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner at Yume Japanese Restaurant. The omakase experience was excellent and the atmosphere truly felt like being in Japan. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, especially the Kumamoto oysters, sweet shrimp, uni, and jumbo scallops. The truffle unagi sashimi was a standout. Great service, great vibes, and perfect for dates or family gatherings. Will definitely be back.

The food is excellent. If you are in the area, go eat here. I knew the price was worth it right away when I saw the food. And I did not regret it after eating. For the around same price as other restaurants that give me thin slices of eel, Yume gave me basically the whole eel. I am amazed and grateful. I think this is an honest, authentic restaurant with high quality food.

We were just passing through Manhattan Beach and came across this spot. We love sushi so decided to check it out. Michelle seated us right away and was our server. She was very helpful with the menu and just overall had great service.

I had an amazing experience at Yume The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. You can tell the staff truly cares about their customers. I especially loved the sushi and the waitress named Daniel. He was absolutely pleasant and made my meal. Want to remember. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.
