No hesitation in awarding top marks for food, service and atmosphere. To complain about the toilet being out of action would be curmudgeonly; that can happen to anyone. The cash only “for now” sign also hints at it being just a temporary inconvenience which was well worth bearing for the friendly service and tasty food.
The menu was simple and perfect for lunch, We started with the bruschetta, a burst of fresh flavors that set the tone for the meal. The pasta dishes were cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and full of depth – we loved the Lamb and Rasin Meat Balls, and the Baked Beetroot Risotto was something else!
What truly stood out was the genuine passion for Italian cuisine that radiated from the couple who run it. They were not only friendly about the menu but also eager to share their story of how they found themselves in Minehead.. It’s rare to find such a genuine Italian gem in a Somerset town, but Passioni Italiane is a true hidden treasure.
We left with full bellies and grateful hearts, already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for an incredible Italian dining experience, look no further than Passioni Italiane. It’s a delightful taste of Italy right in the heart of Somerset.
It is a smallish restaurant down a backstreet (like all great restaurants in that respect haha) so I would recommend that you book just in case.
The blood orange still drink I ordered was tasty and nice… I’d wager that it was nicer than San Pellegrino… But that’s just my opinion
Yes… Very tasty Italian fare! 0 complaints
I didn’t get any photos for this I apologise! Will definitely return and next time take photos!
A pot of tea which has taken the top spot now off Horner tea room.
The tea was exceptional, the teapot huge. Had many cups from it.
Also had their home made baked beans (absolutely delicious) with scrambled eggs on ciabatta bread.
Very wholesome fresh tasty well cooked food. Worth every penny.
One of the few places in Minehead that takes food and customers seriously.
Best coffee in town and good, courteous service.
The brunch I had – a while ago- was very good and flavoursome.
Gets crowded because it’s tiny, but holds its own despite other similar places almost next door.
Has a regular clientele.
A local gem.
