Reviews
I understand that fine dining often means smaller, well-crafted plates, but there’s a fine line between elegant portions and barely-there servings. My entrée looked lovely but left me still hungry, and the overall experience didn’t feel balanced for what you pay.
For a restaurant positioned as upscale Italian dining, I expected flavors that wowed and portions that felt thoughtful, not skimpy. The atmosphere and concept are there, but I hope Follia finds a better balance between presentation, PORTION, and VALUE, because the potential for greatness is absolutely there.
For a party of 4 we spent over $400. I ordered the Pici pasta as my entrée and the flavor was completely lost. It’s looked and smelled, do I dare say, like dog food. The menu says the Pici comes with “slow-cooked beef bolognese” however, it was literally a small dollop of ground beef on top. I believe had one porani mushroom as well. Worse, the dish just tasted like salty pasta only. I would have loved to see a little more of pieces of beef bolognese mixed in with the pasta to give more flavor.
Overall the value at $34 for the dish did not live up to what I expected from a fine dining Italian experience.
All of the members in my party felt the same about their dishes, small sizes and flavor bland. For the cost of this meal, we anticipated richer flavors, larger servings, and a bit more attention to detail. Follia has charm and potential, but the quality-to-price ratio left us disappointed. Lastly, for a restaurant that offer only 17 entreés, they ought to specialize in those flavors. On the bright size, the ambiance of the restaurant was excellent, just hoped the food improves soon.
My husband and I had an outstanding night. The handmade pasta is perfectly al dente, fresh, and beautifully sauced, and the menu elevates classic Italian dishes with thoughtful, refined touches. Service is attentive and knowledgeable without feeling rushed.
Come hungry you’ll leave happy and very full. Highly recommend!
Every little detail was thought through. From the bar’s light fixture to the beautiful patio, and the amazing food from the kitchen to spacious area around the tables. That’s right! You’ll not feel claustrophobic in here!
The food was delectable and I’m glad we decided to share our dishes among the table, so we could have a little taste of everything.
The drinks were done to perfection and PLEASE DO NOT SKIP the desserts! You’ll not regret!
See the FOLLIA picture and the small note under the heart light (and once you’re there read the caption)
Try the pasta with the speck and truffle..I’ve had it four times… delish… and start with the focaccia with prosciutto.. my favorites
I am visiting from Tuscany , where food and wine are the heart of the region and going to Follia really fulfilled all my expectations.
Many options , and great variation of food, I highly recommend if you are trying to experience Italy in all your plates ! Will definitely go again!
Second visit equally good. Starting to feel like home.
