Reviews
The staff is friendly and patient, even when the line gets long, and they always make sure the presentation looks great. The store itself is spotless and inviting, with plenty of seating for families or friends looking to linger over sundaes and milkshakes. You can tell Oberweis puts pride into both their service and their products.
Prices are a little on the higher side compared to other ice cream spots, but the quality justifies it. Between their rich ice cream, fresh milk, and classic atmosphere, Oberweis delivers a consistently enjoyable experience that earns a solid four stars.
I’d be willing to pay extra for a regular size serving. I think the new owners are trying to get more money but give you half of what they used to serve. They’ve gone Walmart style. Not a good way to make customers come back, especially those who have stopped by year after year.
Update – When I visited this location in the Summer the line was very long. The ice cream was still great but, waiting 15-20 minutes for ice cream isn’t worth it.
Update – their serving sizes have gotten ridiculous for the price. Not worth going here any longer. Unfortunately caught it when we were already at home.
Coffee ice cream for me, butter pecan ice cream for her. Both were good, but not great. Nowhere near as good as Santa Barbara’s McConnells, but nothing is so that isn’t a fair comparison.
According to Google they also own the That Burger Joint and Woodgrain Pizzeria chains. That doesn’t really change anything, I just thought it was interesting.
