Have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this bakery in town – And it delivered! Had a morning bun & coffee this morning. The morning bun was delicious – flaky & sweet on the outside & soft on the inside. Great coffee too. Can’t wait to come back & try more!

Two Rivers is a great new retail area of Salida. Silver Whiskers Bakery’s a great fit with its big windows, indoor and outdoor seating and wonderful baked goods. Love the big community table.
The morning buns are so good! Bread is excellent, too.
Service is consistently knowledgeable and pleasant.
Thanks again,
Bill

My new favorite breakfast spot and bakery in Salida! All of the baked goods we got were excellent. IMO good croissants aren’t that hard to find, but great croissants are pretty rare. Silver Whisker’s were exceptional! Staff are friendly, efficient , and have really great energy. Nor a ton of seating and usually a bit of a line but it moves fast. Top tier!

This is the best bakery in the region with respect to quality. The breads and pastries are outstanding. They also have high quality ingredients in their sandwiches. My favorites are the country loaf (as good as Tartine) and the muffaletta style sandwich.

Had coffee, a scone and the ham and cheese croissants for breakfast. We also got 2 sandwiches to go. Service was friendly, nice atmosphere and the food was all very good. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a really upsetting experience at this coffee shop. I came in close to closing time and politely asked if they were open. The owner (cashier confirmed) said yes, and I mentioned that it was hard to tell because there was no open sign — I even suggested that a light-up sign might help. Her response shocked me: she said, “I’d rather slit my wrists and stare at that sign.”
As someone who has lost loved ones to suicide, that comment was extremely distressing and completely inappropriate for any setting, especially from a business owner speaking to a customer. Regardless of the time of day, no one should be spoken to like that.
I’m sharing this so others in the community are aware of how customers may be treated here. I truly hope the owner reflects on how her words can affect people and chooses more sensitivity in the future.

Amazing crusty sourdough bread! I had the Olive Sourdough.
Morning bun was awesome too, along with iced mocha coffee.
