We had a wo derful meal here and it was well worth the trip. This intimate Italian Bistro is packed with quality dishes full of flavor and love. Our server was prompt and very attentive. The food was flavored well and the portions were just right. While the menu is small it is packed with powerhouse Italian dishes that melt in your mouth. We can’t wait to come back again.

Delterra has become the date-night destination for my wife and me here in Zelienople. It brings an atmosphere and level of cooking you’d expect closer to downtown Pittsburgh, yet delivers it right on Main Street. From handmade pastas to standout appetizers and wood-fired pizzas, the food consistently impresses.
Don’t expect a Cheesecake Factory–sized menu—Delterra keeps things focused and intimate, with seasonal tweaks that keep each visit interesting. One of the best ways to explore the menu is the five-course for two dinner. At its previous $100-for-two price point it was a great value; at today’s $120, it’s closer to a break-even compared to ordering à la carte, but still a fun way to discover new favorites.
Service is generally excellent, especially on the main floor near the kitchen and wood-fired oven where the energy and warmth of the space really shine. We’ve had slower service and a noticeably quieter atmosphere upstairs, so we now request first-floor seating when reserving. The staff has always been friendly and attentive throughout.
Pricing is on the higher end for Zelienople and Cranberry, but for special occasions—or any night you want food with intention and craft—it feels justified. And if you’re arriving without a reservation, the bar seats in front of the pizza oven can be just as enjoyable.
As for the food itself: some reviewers claim the pasta dishes aren’t remarkable, but I couldn’t disagree more. The al dente texture, bright homemade sauces, and perfectly tender meatballs are consistently spot-on. Delterra also offers some off-menu staples, like their spaghetti and meatballs, a deceptively simple dish executed with surprising depth and flavor. Other pastas lean more adventurous with unique flavor combinations, which we always appreciate.
Recent highlights include the grilled pork loin with creamy polenta, the Barada garlic bread, and the peppers-and-sausage appetizer—each dish packed with flavor, with the peppers offering just a touch of heat without overwhelming.
If you’re looking for elevated, creative, well-executed dining north of Pittsburgh, Delterra remains one of the best choices in the Zelienople area.

Biggest criticism I have is that we had to wait quite a bit for our meals but the appetizers came out quick at least and were my favorite part. The garlic bread with the burrata was my favorite of the night. I would go back for that alone.
I had the cavatelli nduja. The pasta was perfectly cooked and tight. Sauce was savory and had just enough spiciness to it.
My friends ordered the lamb papparadelle, pan seared duck and a buffalo mozzarella pizza. I had some of the pizza and it was great. The tiramisu was also delicious.
The dining room is a former bank so the vibe was pretty cool. I love how their oven looks.
Relatively speaking I thought these to be a little smaller portioned entrees but I think that’s a good thing in this day and age.

We loved our experience with the Chef’s Choice 5-course meal! We enjoyed every course and it was super fun! I meant to take pictures to share, but kept forgetting until we had finished most of the courses (sadly)! The only complaint is we expected a smidge more with our entree, but there’s nothing else to complain about. The service was great and we would definitely come back… Next time we’ll order training from the menu, but go ahead and try the chef’s choice!

It would be so amazing for you to offer A GLUTEN FREE PASTA that is edible and a GF pizza option. Why try making a GF pasta with bean flour?! You would be WAY better off having a high quality Italian dry pasta option. There are so many excellent GF pastas available! Also, Please bring back the kale salad. It is the only thing GF offering that I can eat and tolerate on your entire menu. The current arugula salad is subpar at best.

The atmosphere was awesome the bar was super cool. Our appetizers were great, but our pasta entrees were nothing special. There was not many options to choose from as far as pastas and entrees go. The service was bare minimum.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated ⚘️, the atmosphere is nice,✨️
the staff is very good.
♥️My husband and I sat in the upstairs area, the sound was a bit too loud, it didn’t feel very private. The atmosphere is more like a family dinner. I think it would be better if they separated the date night table from the family table, but the overall experience was good. Dishes tasted unique, but it might not be my favorite
except for the meatball ,which was really good
We ordered
Tagliatelle pasta $27
Amatriciana Pizza $23
Meatball $10
Tiramisu $7
Margaritas $11

Food was delicious, portions a bit small for the price. Good wine and specialty cocktails selection. Price was a little shocking. $10.50 for a shot of plain rum and then charged 1.00 for the soda water it was mixed in then 0.75 for splash of lime juice. Little ridiculous especially since their “specialty cocktails” were $11-13. The desserts were tasty and the atmosphere and service was excellent. But I think $120 for one appetizer, one pizza (8-10 in. personal size) and 2 drinks for the 2 of us was over the top. I don’t think we will be returning. Just FYI I wanted to get the fried catfish but at $37 I decided against it.

Great atmosphere, drink menu, bar space. I’d recommend reservations because they are usually packed. There’s nowhere to wait for your table so we felt in the way for about 20 min until our table was ready. The hostess acted annoyed we showed up a bit early and was a little rude about it. Our waitress on the other hand was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good but overpriced. We got a number of appetizers including the meatballs, antipasto, and beans and greens. The beans and greens were the best part of the entire meal. My pasta (one of the specials) unfortunately was dry and the sauce was lacking acidity. I’m not sure I’d come back based on these points but it’s worth a try once.

Overall the ambiance and decorations are great and so is most of the food. My only gripe is the pizza dough. All of the pizza comes out wet and floppy with no structure at all. Flavors are great but they could really elevate their restaurant if they figured their dough out.
Not hating….. just my input. Still love Della Terra.
