If you have not had the chance to eat here, I recommend it. The staff, cooks, food phenomenal! They did a wonderful job on my 1st and definitely not my last visit. Haley was a fantastic and welcoming waitress. I highly recommend the biscuits & gravy. The best I’ve ever tasted!!! Everything we ordered was delicious. Will be returning!

Found this close to the place we were staying. Looked good for breakfast to go.

I feel like the price point is high for what you get. The breakfast was good. Requested eggs over easy and got eggs over hard. The sourdough was perfectly toasted and buttered. Not much Hash browns and not very crisp. Did get an order of pancakes and they were very good. The bacon was excellent and crispy.

Service was good.

They stop serving breakfast at 11 but they offered it to us anyway. What a spectacular place to have a home cooked type meal. Very welcoming and everyone, including fellow customers, are super nice. Now the food, absolutely delicious. Before I came to Nebraska, I was told “well, they’re really not known for their food”, folks, the Farmer’s Daughter Cafe slap’s that comment across the face and feeds it lunch and gives it a slice of butterscotch pie for dessert. This is a MUST stop if you’re in the area. The last place I had a meal this delicious and packed with love was in Georgia. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!

If I could give more stars I would. We were in GI and used google, this was the place with the best reviews. What an absolute Gem! We were greated with kindness and a smile when we walked in. Unfortunately I missed the hostess name but she really brightened our day with her wisdom of the restaurant. Our waitress was on top of suggestions, needs, and refills. She went over and above to give us a great experience. The cook was on top of it and truly is great at their job. The food was cooked just like it should be hot, delicious, and fast.
If you want a genuine old school diner experience cooked with love from scratch then this is your place. My husband has been making excuses to go to GI during lunch time (starts at 11am) all week to try their famous pie! We were told it goes fast so get there early. The parking is a bit tight. That’s not their fault just something to keep in mind. If you are able to they have a large free parking area just across the street and you can walk over to the restaurant.

Owner Joanna has a god-given talent for pie. Classic Midwest cooking & charm, Farmer’s Daughter is a MUST STOP if you’re driving through for antiques or breweries! The prices are fantastic ($3.84 for cream pies & $4.05 for fruit pie!) Breakfast $8-12, Lunch $7-11 + Daily specials (see photos). Also dog friendly!

And the service is the best we’ve received in our ten day road trip thus far (truly above & beyond—even gave us free to-go coffees because we came before lunch ended and they heard we had a long drive ahead of us!)

Chili bowl is huge and delish—only $5.50. And the chicken fried steak is a STEAL at $12.68 because it comes with a cup of soup, dinner roll, and mashed potatoes with gravy!!

Grab a slice (or two) of cream pie for here + a slice of fruit pie to go!

️ Free parking lot next door.

Had wanted to check this spot for some time now. Word on the street says it was “very good”. Agreed!
A typical diner/café, even has the “counter seating” with the spinning stools!! Service was quick, friendly, had my coffee right away, and the cup was never empty!! A basic breakfast, eggs, bacon, and they had pumpernickel rye toast! All cooked to perfection.
The “local” gents at the back, discussing antique autos, families meeting seemed to be regulars.
Parking is a bit tricky, but it wasnt overly crowded, so plentiful.
Pricing on par. I WILL RETURN– just like Arnie!!
