Enjoyed the delicious vegetable burrito. Savory onions and mushrooms were scrumptious. Covered in cheese and green and red chili. All their chili sauce is made fresh in house. Even the free chips and chili dip is house made. My friend who is a Native Spanish descent who loves hot liked the food. Friendly service and sat for a couple hours in good conversation with feeling we had to rush and leave.

Yum! Ordered takeout on a Saturday night. Call was answered quickly and easy to place order. Food was (almost) ready when we arrived per their time estimation. Service was very friendly. Food was delicious! My friend and I split the beef fajitas and chicken flautas plate. Chips are beyond, so good and fresh! Salsa is spicy but also tasty. Plenty of food and had some leftovers. Friend was from out of town and enjoyed. Even said – we (the ‘locals’ should come here more often) and we will! Recommend for all.

Informal but nice Mexican restaurant. I had the taco enchilada tamale combination. The chips were freshly fried as was the taco shell. The salsa was mild but tasty. The green Chile sauce on the platter was hotter and tasted quite good.
My friend also enjoyed her chicken fajitas.
Definitely worth another trip.
Small venue, but service was prompt and friendly.

This was mine and my wife’s first time. We were drawn to the great reviews but we left kinda confused at why.
The bowl of chips that was provided was very sparse. It was the smallest bowl of chips I’ve ever had anywhere. I have included a picture before we even ate any.
There are no free refills on the chips either.
I got the beef and chicken flautas and my wife got the tamale, enchilada, taco plate.
We both felt that the chicken and other meat was a bit dry.
The food wasn’t necessarily bad, but after a normal tip it came out to $45 and that’s with no drinks.
I just don’t think it was really worth the price.

The service was decent though.

My partner and I stopped by because we’ve eaten here years ago. This is an amazing Mexican food place. The meat is not overly salty. The food is delicious and served warm. The atmosphere is very quaint. The staff very friendly. The corn chips are freshly made just like Grandma used to. And don’t forget they have Coke in a bottle.

A hidden gem in Rio Rancho!!!

Food:. Best Mexican food we’ve had in ages! So much flavor, not just heat but flavor! The Green Chile has perfect flavor and the Red is colorful and super tasty. The fresh homemade chips and salsa was practically a meal itself. The vegetarian burrito had fresh grilled vegetables with tons of flavor! This was our first visit and we will definitely be back.

Service: Very friendly and professional staff, we felt very welcome. We waited less than 10 minutes for our meals and plenty of drink refills without having to ask.

Atmosphere: Simple and very colorful. We’ve never seen such a clean restaurant either. The cleanliness is the first thing we noticed. Music volume was just right for a relaxing meal and the booth seating was so comfy.

They serve the best homemade nacho chips I have had in my life, plus they have excellent guacamole. The tacos are white corn fried shells that are fried on demand, and the chili relleno was out of this world! The waitress is the co-owner and she was awesome. If you want, amazing Mexican food, come here!

Best tacos I’ve found in the Albuquerque area.

They also make their own chips and salsa.

My second time here, found it literally by accident. I have been to 100s of Mexican restaurants across the US, from some of the best in Arizona, New Mexico and beyond. This place is a gem! Food is freshly made as you wait. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant from their chips and salsa and I tell you they make everything when you order from scratch. Some of the best chips, salsa, and guacamole I’ve had a long time.

THE GOOD: Excellent service! I was greeted in Spanish and was spoken to in Spanish the whole time, which always feels welcoming. The server also spoke English to other patrons, so Spanish is not a requirement to eat here. But it was a welcome surprise!
Loved the chips and salsa for the table!

THE REST: It was def better than most New Mexican food I’ve had, but it was New Mexican
I was expecting Mexican cuisine here.

I ordered one of their specials that comes with 1 taco, 1 tamal and 1 enchilada. They were out of tamales for the week (they’re made weekly depending on how fast they run out). I substituted the tamal with a Chile relleno. The chile relleno wasn’t super thick, but still more on the “breaded” side and no fluffy egg, which is def a NM style of making chiles rellenos.
The enchilada sauce was ok. It was a New Mexico red chile.
My taco de asada came with lettuce and tomato instead of cebolla y cilantro. The meat was slightly under cooked and it was mostly lettuce and tomato. Very surprised that this isn’t advertised as a New Mexican restaurant.

Overall, not bad if you like New Mexican food.
