Very nice restaurant. Had a good sized menu. Complementary bread/garlic knots. I had chick parm dinner with linguine – excellent. Others in the party had Zupe de peace. One in white sauce the other red. Both said was excellent.

This was our second visit to Big Red Tomato and once again, it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Fred, our waiter, was absolutely excellent—as always—with attentive service and a kind demeanor that made us feel right at home. Ryan, the owner, continues to be incredibly pleasant and clearly takes pride in making every guest feel valued.
We indulged in a feast that was nothing short of spectacular: Chicken Francese, Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli, and Lobster Crab Meat Ravioli in Vodka Sauce—each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Our appetizers were just as memorable: juicy chicken wings, fresh mozzarella and tomato drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and soft, garlicky knots that hit all the right notes.
And for dessert? The brownie with vanilla ice cream was the cherry on top. Omg—it was sooo delicious!
Every bite was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. Visiting Big Red Tomato was, once again, a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back again!

From a moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting without trying too hard, and both food and the service make you want to stay just a little longer. What truily stood out was the attention to detail in every dish, everything tasted freshly prepared, perfectly timed and rooted in tradition. It is rare to find a spot that feels this authentic, serving such a delicious italian cuisine. My son even got invited to the kitchen to see his dish being prepered. Amazing experience and I cant wait to come back.

Leaving a simple review. Upon entering we weren’t necessarily greeted (my family and I went 1.5 hours from closing so the vibe I felt was the staff ready to go home)(which is understandable buy shouldn’t dilute customer service ) and we had to choose our own seats (again would’ve preferred to be seated by a waiter/tress).
I will say the food is FRESH and made from scratch. The bread starters were warm and tasted great! The Garlic knots were a nice touch (they could’ve been softer in my opinion).
I ordered the veal with tomato sauce. It was good! The tomato sauce was made from scratch and the veal wasn’t overcooked. I’d like in comparison to other Italian restaurants this is a truly community based restaurant with a owner that believes in HEARTY ingredients) but the seasonings used aren’t as robust. However for the price and serving sizes it’s definitely a location I’d return to if I’m seeking to eat carbs and fill my stomach.
Overall 5 stars for a community Italian spot with cozy interior but staff should be inviting customers in with exuberance rather than indifference.

Welcome to this edition of Revised Reviews. This place originally got 4 stars from me, but my last experience was not only bad, but also quite insulting. Normally I get pizza from here which they generously serve complimentary garlic knots, but this time I tried the calzone with pepperoni. There was a choice between ordering a large one, and a regular one, however I got the smaller size because it was already 13 bucks and change, that is more expensive than most calzones I buy and those other ones are enough to fill me up. Look at this picture and if you are Italian, I deeply apologize. This is not a calzone, it is the size of a Papa Johns Papadia and was about as much food as two measly pizza slices. The picture is also comparable to an empanada. I have no idea what these people think a calzone is, but I have never in my life had a calzone small enough that I could hold in my hand that easily. 13 bucks is almost the price of a plain pie in many places that could fill me up for a day. Not only was I still hungry, but quite upset and actually had to go to Papa Johns to get the remainder of my meal. Others who have seen this picture said it does not even look like a full calzone and if it is, then it is the worst calzone I have ever had. Aside from the kids meal size for 13 and change, there was barely any meat inside. I am giving them two stars and not one because the pizza is still good, but there is no way I can go back to a place that charges that money for a fake calzone. I could see people buying this for around 6 bucks as a snack, but nothing more (that is what I pay for a papadia). Don’t be fooled as the plate in my picture is a small appetizer plate, very small portion. Ironically, this is the one time I really needed the complimentary garlic knots however of course it is the only time they did not add them. They sent me on my way with not even half a meal. As someone who worked at restaurants, I know making that calzone bigger would not be a crazy cost increase for them. Even if the calzone tasted great which it didn’t I would still be upset with the portion. Add some more doe, cheese, or I would suggest majorly adjusting the price. It really sucks because I was a local customer, but they won’t be seeing me again unless they make it right and no, just an apology is not enough. I would suggest skipping this place until they edit this, there are plenty of other spots around that serve good pizza, and REAL sized calzones for cheaper.

I was buying a used digital keyboard today and didn’t have a place to test it beforehand. The staff were so kind and let me plug it in and try it out right there. Excellent customer service! I’ll definitely come back with my family to try the food next time.
