This is STILL by far my favorite place to eat in Greenwood. My husband and I walked in the door, and in less than 3 minutes, we were greeted with a smile, seated, had chips, dips, menus, silverware & our drink order placed! Fastest service of anywhere we have ever been. We got our drinks and placed our order, and no kidding within 10 minutes we had our plates on the table! The plates were hot & the food was hot, fresh & delicious!
(as usual, of course) We have been eating here since we moved to Greenwood in April of 2001, and we have NEVER had a bad experience. They have survived the test of time, and I would just like to add that so has our waitress who has been serving our table since we first started eating here! I think that speaks volumes about the management when their employees have worked there for a couple of decades! We eat here often, and she is always there, making me worry that she gets adequate days off?! Lol.. I love that she is always smiling and always friendly, and I just love it so much! No bad vibes here…
Oh, and… as a Texan, I would just like to say their sweet tea is ALWAYS on point!!

Food was delicious. Servers were awesome. This was the first time I ate here and it won’t be my last. Salsa and cheese dip were probably some of the best around from a Mexican restaurant. My meal was delicious.

We were out on a motorcycle ride and at the last minute found this place. Very friendly staff that let me use my limited Spanish to order our food. The food was the BEST Mexican food we have found in Arkansas by far. Being from California we KNOW what good Mexican food should be. I would give them a solid 7 out of 10. The only draw back is they tone down there salsa so we had to ask for a more FUEGO or spicy salsa… that green salsa was a 10.

What a wonderful place! The food is phenomenal! Thier stuffed poblano was delicious, tacos are amazing, and their Big Daddy burrito can easily feed a family of five . We will definitely be back!

Had to stop in, my papa built this building back in the 90’s and it was called The Willows… so we HAD to stop. Food was excellent and so was service. Prices are great as well.

Not a lot of options for Mexican food here in Greenwood and having recently moved here from Denver, Colorado where we had 100’s of great Mexican restaurants we were a little spoiled.
So after asking around it seemed that there were only two choices. The one that several folks suggested we tried first was for us was just OK. But it was not what we were used to in Denver.
So yesterday we tried El Palenque. It was great! Service was good, the staff was very friendly and the food was muy bueno. We will go back.
