I recently visited this place with family and was happy I did. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was very friendly. We had several different dishes and they all tasted great especially the cheese cake. If you’re in the area and want Italian and good service this place is worth visiting.

Unfortunately, customer service means a lot to me for this restaurant. I love food, but customer service comes first and I had to go order. My pizza was lukewarm. I arrived early so I could get my pizza hot, but the girl took care of all her tables instead of handing me my pizza and when she did hand my pizza she basically just threw it on the table and said bye, wasn’t polite or nothing just basically didn’t wanna deal with me. I understand people are busy, but you gotta be better than that.
And I asked for pepperoni on top of my pizza not for Light pizza. She continued to tell me with light pizza. I said I never asked for light pizza. I asked for the pepperoni to be on top. I’m not gonna wait another 20 minutes for a new pizza I’m just very disappointed. I haven’t been here in a minute. Because the last time they completely covered all the pepperoni with cheese and now they hardly gave me any cheese!

Ordered take out tonight and paid 60 dollars for a box of undercooked pasta and that was all it was. Paid extra for mushrooms but got none. They replaced it with some salty veggies that was not edible. I dont recommend ordering take out and especially when its at the end of the night because it looks like they scraped the bottom of the pot for the little amount of white sauce to cover the box of pasta they thought would compensate for charging me extra for mushroom that they did not have and whatever leftover little scrapes of chicken left from the day. NOTE : if you dont have what is being ordered dont charge the customer or at least let the customer know when picking up the food….. I love Dicico just not this place in old town Clovis.

I ordered fettuccine alfredo paid $12 for shrimp and only got 5 pieces of shrimp. The pasty sauce was grainy and nasty for a lack of better words. I spent $30 for a pasta I couldn’t eat more then 3 bites because of the taste. Also order wings and the wings tasted old like they had been sitting out for a while.

During a recent visit to Clovis, CA, our hunger led us straight to Italian food, and Di Cicco’s seemed like the perfect choice.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but we had to wait a few moments before the hostess emerged from the back where she appeared to be handling a to-go order. Once she returned, we were seated promptly.

Our waitress, while quick and efficient, seemed a bit rushed and perhaps a touch curt—understandable, given that it was the day before a holiday.

Now, let’s talk about the food. It was solid, though not extraordinary:

Caprese Salad: The cheese was quite firm, almost reminiscent of chicken at times. There wasn’t quite enough balsamic vinegar, but the overall flavor was still enjoyable.

Chicken Parmigiana: Flavorful, delicious, and hearty—definitely a filling option.

Spaghetti Limon: Tasty and well-executed, though the artichoke hearts had a canned taste and could’ve been chopped smaller. The chicken was tender and flavorful, which helped elevate the dish.

Calzone: Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It was quite dry and difficult to cut, even with a knife. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate it a 3.

Cheese Garlic Bread: A standout. It was excellent, and the marinara sauce had a delightful kick to it.

We also ordered a glass of wine, which the server forgot at first, but it did arrive just as we were getting our bill.

The prices were reasonable for an Italian meal, and the service, while not exceptional, was adequate. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, with food that ranged from impressive to mediocre.

Overall, Di Cicco’s is worth checking out, though your experience may vary.

An icon for great Italian food in beautiful downtown Clovis. Can’t-miss menu of soups and salads, basic pasta and old-time favorites. Can’t beat the fettuccine or the eggplant parmigiana. Large banquet room. Highly recommend!

We’ve been here a bunch so I just wanted to comment on the summer menu items. I’ll say that my wife and our family loves this restaurant. I came here after work one Friday and had bottomless mimosas. It was wonderful.

On this particular occasion, my wife and I went with my sister’s in-laws from North Carolina. I will pause here to say that they are perhaps the sweetest people on the planet and their accent sounds like molasses poured over fried chicken and waffles. It’s the echoing somnolence of the Blue Ridge mountains. It fills our hearts with joy.

Pan-Seared Salmon Piccata-$17
I chose this dish and I wasn’t planning to eat all of it. The salmon was crisped and caramelized at the edges, with a lemony, garlicky loose topping over it. The asparagus was ample, large pieces lightly sautéed. No crunch, no mush. The pasta was coated in oil and mixed well with the salmon and garlic topping. I would have liked to add some lemon over top to complete the effect or have some parsley mixed in to the pasta, but overall it was very satisfying. I ate the whole thing, even the piece I set aside for my wife (mostly because I forgot why I had put it there and also because I wanted to eat it).

Shrimp and Asparagus Angel Hair Pomodoro-$15
My wife had this for dinner and then for lunch the next day (she has more self-control than I). She had it again the following Friday when we came back. She loved the mozzarella, which got some good cheese stretch when mixed with the hot pasta. She liked the small bites of asparagus and shrimp. I stole a shrimp (as one does) and found that it had plenty of pop to it. It had a light, herbaceous seasoning over it, mostly of basil. It was another light summer dish which could have valued the inclusion of a lemon to brighten it.

Lasagna
My sister’s father-in-law enjoyed this, though he couldn’t finish it. I enjoyed hearing his position on it because we found his Carolina lilt incredibly soothing and possibly therapeutic. He gave it two thumbs up!

Manicotti with Meatballs
My sister’s mother-in-law enjoyed her meal as well, especially the plentitude of cheese and sauce. She found it helped to coat the meatballs and overall endear the dish to her, as she was to us with every syllable she uttered.

Overall, a wonderful meal!
We recommend the summer menu items that we tried and furthermore recommend having in-laws from North Carolina because their sweet southern twang will warm your heart and soothe your worn, city folk souls.
