Two and a half hour lunch with poor quality of food and slow service. Ordered a take out for invalid mother trying to order items on menu that she could eat. For whatever reason they did not save enough of what we ordered, so by the time they prepared her food they changed her order without notice.

Love the food and atmosphere! The staff is excellent too 🙂 only issue I’ve ever had was ordering a shrimp basket that said it included large shrimp and it in fact did not. I was never informed of that had been a change on menu or if they were just out. Expected big shrimp and received shrimp poppers. They were tasty just not what I wanted, or expected.

This was my first time to eat at Twin Rivers. I hope it won’t be my last. ( I live about an hour north of Mount Carmel and don’t get down there often.) My friend and I had the catfish nuggets which were very good. I really liked the creamy Cole Slaw, too. The fact that they give you a choice between tangy and creamy was a pleasant surprise. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. Prices are reasonable also. I give it two thumbs up.

I ordered the Catfish nuggets and it was probably my favorite catfish I’ve had and I love catfish. They also had a special of Peppermint Mocha Bread Pudding and it was GREAT and very festive. Our service did and great job and was very happy & friendly.

My partner and I both ordered Country Fried Steaks with mashed potatoes. When the plates arrived they were cold. The potatos were cold covered in steaming gravy. Poor quality, thin steaks that were fried too long. Waitresses took forever to come take our drink orders. Three different Mt Carmel residents mentioned this place as excellent and it has not lived up to expectations.

Had fried chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy with coleslaw. It reminded me of the way my Mother fried chicken. So good I wish I had thought to take another serving home for later!
