Visiting my old hometown in Buckhannon West Virginia today and decided to have lunch at onyx barbecue. Very nice lunch, love the Decour and the staff was very pleasant. The pulled pork sandwich was very good. The side of baked beans was outstanding.Probably the best baked beans I think I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Onion rings were also great. I think I will add this place on the menu when returning to Buckhannon for another visit.

I had the slop. It was very good. My husband had the pulled pork dinner plate. He enjoyed his meal as well. Although he said the corn bread could have been bigger and needed butter. The price was fair for the amount of food that was served. Will definitely be back.

We had the ribs today. My husband ( a self proclaimed BBQ connoisseur) loved them ❤! We both agreed that their ribs were the best we have had this side of Memphis. The mac and cheese was homemade and the baked beans are reminiscent of a picnic! Service was attentive, but not overwhelming. We will be back!!

It was our first time eating at Oink’s and it won’t be our last. Cindi was friendly and answered the 2-3 questions we had about the menu. I had the Oinker (brisket, pulled pork, and bacon) sandwich and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich; both were very good. They use dry rub seasoning but have three different BBQ sauces to choose from at the tables. Our total was less than $27. The only drawbacks were the fact they don’t have fries (tater tots were a welcome change) and it is tough to find a place to park. Look forward to eating there again.

Today I was in the mood for some pork bbq, so I decided to try here for my first time. The service was nice the lady I talked to was friendly during my phone order and while checking out. Although, I feel like there was some miscommunication, although not major. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which I guess because I’m use to pork sandwiches already having bbq on it I assumed when I got home the sandwich would have bbq on it; it did not, so I had to apply my own which is disappointing to me, because I love trying different bbqs and not having the same all the time (a major reason for going here and not T&L). Also, I ordered a side of fries with my sandwich, upon looking at the menu I could order fries and a drink for $4. I asked the lady working there about it once I arrived and she informed me that it would be an extra .50, so of course I said it was fine, because it was only .50 to add the beverage. Furthermore, I just feel as though those things should of been addressed to me. I noticed the bbq sauce sitting on the table, but just assumed if you were ordering in you could add more if you wanted and feel like the beverage situation could of been suggested as well considering it was only .50 more. Otherwise, the experience was nice and the restaurant seemed pretty clean.

My wife and I wanted to try Oinks and was looking forward to eating there. Everything was going fine until I pulled a long black hair from my pulled pork sandwich. As far as I was concerned, the meal was over. We left and will never go there again.

We tried the new bbq restaurant in Buckhannon called Oinks over the weekend our second trip the first visit was not a good experience but I thought I’d give them another shot and to say we were unpleased is an understatement…! Our son who is three years old was served completely raw chicken…! After I mentioned it the staff, they was rude…! The new owner had nothing to say about it other than to make excuses for her cooks..! Definitely be careful eating here. The owner has since removed her comments an blocked reviews on her Facebook business page.. please please check your food if you eat here..! Thank god I cut up his chicken instead of just giving it to him..! There’s no excuse in the chicken not being tempted when it’s being served to guests!

Cant rate the food because we didnt actually get any. Called at 430 on a Tuesday to order a big family meal and they said the ribs would be ready at 6. We waited. Call at around 5-10 minutes til 6 and order. All is well. We get a call 10 minutes later when my husband is ready to leave to pickup that the ribs won’t be ready for another hour. Heard an advertisment on the radio today for them. Ive never had a restaurant be so difficult to order from. I understand running out of something, but not a main dish at a barbeque restaurant when you are advertising like that. Its never going to go well if you dont have what you are advertising. I hope they get it together because Buckhannon could sure use some good barbeque. Disappointed.

The food was really good. I like that the ribs have a tasty dry rub. So I could eat it that way and family can put the BBQ sauce on it. Hated having to park in the hotel across the street since there’s none on the street.
