Amazing place with staff that are friendly and courteous. They checked that the meal was ok and were very quick to take our orders.

The food is outstanding and the darts games upstairs are a great way to enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

Beautiful, tasty and fresh food!
We ordered food to share and we were presented with an amazing variety of great food. An explosion of flavours and textures. All very well prepared, nothing undercooked or burned. Al dente.

We visited early on a Saturday evening in the first week of Jan 2026. Excellent restaurant, had fantastic food, great service, fabulous atmospere – was just starting to get busy when we left at 8pm. Very reasonably priced as well – 5 stars.

Amazing restaurant! The food was delicious — the meat was perfectly cooked and so tender.
RONI, our waitress, made our experience special. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, she provided outstanding service with such a friendly and positive attitude. Her hospitality should be rewarded

We had a pretty good time at Turkuaz. I really liked the cocktail and the atmosphere. The food was not that great but still pretty tasty. Thankfully, the service made up for it, thanks!

I went for an evening Meze with a friend and honestly it was lovely.

The interior is a nice touch to Winchester. It’s classy and a really mature vibe which is a nice escape when enjoying a cocktail.

I had a glass of wine and my friend had a cocktail. There is a big list of drinks to choose from and honestly their back bar is impressive. There was a great range of high end and cheaper alcohol to pick from.

The waiter was lovely and really attentive and a credit to the restaurant . He bought us drinks and helped recommend dishes. We got the sharing Hot Meze which had a nice range of items. The humus was lovely with pomegranate in it and the calamari was cooked well. For £18 I do think it’s a bit steep for what you get but you do get to try a couple of different things.

We also got Padron peppers and they were amazing, we would come back just for them . We also ordered some scallops which again were a perfect texture. I wasn’t overly keen on the sauce but that’s personal preference. I cannot remember the name but a pastry with feta in them is a must try here. They do bring you complimentary bread and a lovely Turkish delight with the bill which is a nice touch.

I do wish we had a bit more space on the table as it was hard to share on a 2 person table but next time I’ll just ask to push two together.

Another nice touch of the place is the social upstairs. After dinner you can have a drink up there or play darts which is a great way to keep people in the restaurant and again the decor is stunning. A really nice hidden gem in Winchester

My only criticism is not having the service charge pointed out before I paid. Honestly I would have tipped as the waiter was lovely and everything was really nice (food and drinks) but I am a big believer in hi-lighting service charge so the customer can make up their own mind – especially as theirs is 12.5%.

All in all would recommend and look forward to going back to try their oysters.

We are visiting from London and decided to book Turkuaz for a meal on Saturday ..
Restaurant is decorated lovely and front of house every friendly.
The food was good and no extended waits for any course but the drinks service was terrible !
The waiting staff would clean tables , take away dirty plates with amazing efficiency but would attend our table , see empty glasses and never ask us if we wanted another ! It was really quite strange !
When we was first taken to our seat was the only time all night we was asked if we wanted a drink.
I’m not sure if it’s the way the staff are trained but surely when they see empty glasses and they are clearing our starters they should ask if we want another ..

We visited for lunch and were very disappointed with the portion size. The dish cost around £15 and consisted of a very small amount of chicken, a tiny bowl of rice, and a small garnish. It was so small I assumed it was the child chicken Shiah for my 4 year old daughter. We have eaten in lots of Turkish restaurants Michelin and run of the mill and have never recover a portion so small.

When we raised this with the manager, the response was dismissive and he did not offer a solution, with the explanation that dinner portions are larger and more expensive. Unfortunately, this wasn’t communicated beforehand and felt poor value for money.

The food itself was fine, but the portion size and response left us feeling disappointed.

The response from the manager was nothing short of shocking.

I’d going I would avoid at lunch time.

I was surprised that we were almost the only customers at lunch time but were assured that it’s usually packed in the evenings, so I counted myself lucky. The food and drinks were excellent, the staff very friendly and attentive, the decor really impressive. It was a hot day, yet absolutely pleasant in the shielded courtyard. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Winchester!

Brilliant food from the eastern mediterranean and beyond, and great value for such a relaxed and characteristic atmosphere.

Not quite 5 stars, staff were slightly aloof, although very polite and knowledgable. I ordered the mussels, and they were delicious, but I had no finger bowl or spoon for the sauce.

That being said, we left more than satisfied and with empty plates on our table.

We will be returning to Turkuaz soon.
