If you want a quality, and authentic taco experience, this is the spot. They have an interesting and delectable selection of beverages, and the service has a home style feel to it. I’d recommend this place to others more often if I could. Just place your order clearly, and your name for your order might get messed up if you go in speaking English, but it’s worth it. They got reduced prices for tacos on Thursdays and Tuesdays, especially Tuesdays.

Delicious food, very authentic!! A hidden little gem. We ate chicken enchiladas, steak fajitas, and bean & cheese papusas. The portions were generous and the prices were great. Will definitely go again!

this place really pissed me off. Imagine coming here for years. Trying to support the brown community and they try to pass off a fish stick on a fish taco! I never received this before mind you I’ve ordered this same meal for years! A burned fish stick too ! you think somebody is going to pay you $15 plus for 3 fish sticks? Y’all have to do better! this place is terrible. 40 min of waiting for one fish stick on each taco! i can’t even believe this. I got my refund but it’s the audacity !

Ordered online and paid for multiple things to be added to my burrito (avocado, cheese, potatoes, sour cream etc.) they didn’t include any of it. I also ordered a quesadilla with beans and chicken- the cheese wasn’t melted AT all and it had no beans. I called the restaurant to try to rectify the issue and they straight up ignored me on the phone. They answered, I explained and then they never said anything else… like they set phone down or something. Terrible experience. Never ordering from here again & the owner should definitely consider reevaluating staffing decisions because I have worked food service for many years and this experience was just ridiculous all around, need to do better.

If you want absolutely delicious, authentic homemade Oaxacan food, this is the place you want to go to. Small little restaurant with simple, delicious food that isn’t loaded down with salt… or at least my molé chicken & my husband’s barbacoa beef certainly weren’t. My molé had layers of rich flavor with a mild heat that built with every mouthful of moist chicken breast meat. The beef barbacoa was mild, flavor-filled & absolutely tender. Each meal came with 3 made-from-scratch corn meal tortillas, perfectly cooked black beans with a sprinkle of cotija cheese, & seasoned rice.

The atmosphere was absolutely lovely. The dining area was colorfully decorated with music playing just quietly enough that we could still have a conversation without problem.

I cannot compliment El Cabrito enough… on the food, on the welcoming & cheerful atmosphere, & above all else? The care & respect the one young lady serving guests had showed to an unhoused man in a wheelchair. Tonight was pretty cold, & he was encouraged to come into the restaurant & enjoy a hot meal & a Jarritos soda free of charge. I’d walked up to the register & had volunteered to pay for the man’s meal, but she politely declined & said that she’s happy to pay for it herself. Well. Bless her. We also noticed that other patrons of the restaurant greeted the man with kindness & familiarity. We gave a generous tip when paying for our dinner, & I gave the man a few dollars on our way out & made sure that he knew of the warming locations that are open this weekend.

Apologies for the lack of pictures. We were too busy thoroughly enjoying our meals.

The food is delicious and economical. I’m from Texas, and can honestly day that this is one of the best Authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. The 3 taco combo ($11) with rice and beans with a savory yet spicy “salsa de arbol!!!!!!” is always my go to. Plus great service!!!
