If you reheat anything with chicken in it the next day you run the risk of food poisoning. Been there and done it. The egg roll grease always messes up my stomach that’s a guarantee. If you are lucky you might get fresh rice with your meal. The main dishes are cooked fresh to order and the owners are nice people. All that experience and talent to produce sub par food is sad.

Exceptional!
The Best eggrolls in town, a large sumptuous menu to satisfy every appetite and fresh, quality ingredients! Not to mention – they are a genuine Icon to Helena and beyond, Mr. and Mrs. Wong, do not disappoint.

I was very hopeful for some Chinese food but I have to report that all parts of this meal were disappointing.

Eggs rolls should be called burnt flats, fried wontons were fried at least for 3 hours. Chow meón had no meat and the fried rice was burnt and tasted burnt.

All for nearly $40

I’ve been eating at this place since I was a kid, so I’m biased, but this is my absolute favorite restaurant. However, I understand the negative reviews since this is nothing like your typical Chinese restaurant. China’s a big place with different styles – this isn’t the typical Cantonese like in most of the US, or TV dinner style like Jade Garden.

These are in my family’s standard rotation:
Double cooked pork cabbage
Cashew chicken
Pork chow mein
Almond chicken
Pork fried rice

The top 3 are vegetable-heavy. The egg rolls are very unique, and fairly greasy – just a heads up. It seems like they have a core base of recurring customers who probably make up the majority of their sales. People who like it will subscribe for life, but many probably never come back.

Ordered Pork Chow Mein and the result is attached to this review. Hardly any meat (it’s hard to tell it is truly pork), 90% celery, and no noodles.
We also ordered Kung Pao chicken and we must have gotten someone else’s entree.

Absolute worst Chinese food we have ever tried to eat. I ordered Cashew Chicken. When I took it home and opened it, the smell of fish was overwhelming! Wish I had known they put fish sauce into a chicken dish, but my son had their Mongolian Beef, which also smelled like fish! There was only about 5 small chunks of chicken and tons of overcooked broccoli. In fact all of the vegetables were overcooked. Just disgusting bland food where the only taste was fish. The cook was so sweet, but the food was so very bad. We ended up dumping it in the trash. I’m really disappointed for them since they have been there for over 40 years, but I would not recommend this place.

Worst chinese food EVER. They claim to be authentic but food is VERY bland.
They claim to be from San Francisco but their food is HORRIBLE!
Spent $44 took one bite of everything, pot stickers, egg rolls (dry) and General Chicken and threw away.

Place is kinda dumpy inside. Piles of boxes everywhere. But the food? It’s all celery. Won’t eat it. I called but they don’t care.

I have purchased food from here many times and really enjoyed it but it has now been many years. I suggested it to my sister and niece for dinner yesterday. We ordered shrimp chow mein, fried rice and wontons. The wontons were burnt to a crisp and black. The chow mein and rice had no flavor. We will not be eating there again. I wish the old family was still here. They knew how to cook.

2 orders of pork fried rice and 2 orders of veggie fried rice with the tinies amount of fried tofu on the side was $75!

The food was inedible. The pork rice was mostly just chopped onions with some roasted chicken (that’s not a typo) sprinkled on top. All the rice was slippery, flavorless and lacked egg.

Everyone got nauseous.
