I tried Leela’s tonight & ordered pad thai, I got medium spice because I was told it wasn’t too hot. I like spicy food but not where my tongue, lips & nose are on fire and this was HOT to me. I would definitely come back but wanted to warn those that are heat sensitive, get mild! I wasn’t able to enjoy my pad thai & the flavors because it was too spicy.

Wowowowowowow!!! Literally – best spot for Thai – HANDS DOWN!! Do not sleep on Leela’s! My wife ordered Pad Thai (No Spice) and it’s already Gluten Free!!! For every person out there that goes somewhere to order Pad Thai but are disappointed with the GF version, say no more! Leela’s has your back! The spring rolls were delicious! Bring your own GF Hoisin Sauce to the table for dipping! And last, but not least the Panang Curry! Most of the Thai places here miss it by a long shot! They never have eggplant in it AND sometimes places have carrots in it! No! Not here! Leela’s does it RIGHT! I was instructed to do Mild and add my own spice with their house made Hot Chili sauce! Wowwwww!!!! I wish my vocabulary was more diverse but you get the picture! I ate before my phone ate so this is the only pic I grabbed! We will be back again! Shout out to Pamela for going above and beyond! She is such a sweetheart and so helpful! The chefs personally brought the dishes to us and those ladies knocked it out of the park!

So before I get into the food, the day we came, there were a few sketchy looking people outside the restaurant ( location is a little uneasy ) but as long as you can get passed that part, everything else was great. Great service, great food. Both me and the wife got the chicken pho ( much needed ) only change I would make is to thinly slice chicken breast. Boiled chicken thighs are not the correct cut for pho in my opinion and it was very flavorful. If I’m ever back in st Paul, I’ll definitely be back..

This restaurant has a good selection of food. We ordered boat noodle, deep fried pork belly with sticky rice, egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. The BOAT NOODLE came with some greens, plenty of beef and pork skin. I liked it but felt that the broth was too rich. It was too sweet for my sisters liking but that’s based on preference. PORK BELLY was dipped in a batter before being fried. I was not a fan of this and the pork had a raw smell to it. However it did come with some bomb hot pepper and that kinda helped. Was also not a fan of the sticky rice. It was a bit hard. EGGROLL was nice and crispy but mostly contained vermicelli noodles and cabbage. We each saw one tiny piece of meat in each eggroll. CREAM CHEESE WONTON was so good! One of the best in the twin cities. It was completely filled, not too sweet nor salty. I would def return just for this. Food proportions and presentation were good with a friendly and welcoming staff. The area is sketchy but everyone minded their own business.

I just found my new favorite Thai restaurant — and I’m so glad they opened near my home! I’ve tried several dishes so far, and everything has been incredibly flavorful and delicious. Their Cajun seafood boil was packed with bold spices and perfectly cooked, and the Pad Thai had that perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try even more dishes. Highly recommend

I moved to Minnesota in 2016, and i have made it my business to search for the restaurant. The one that reminds me the most of the place where I worked when I was 22 years old. Downtown Thai restaurant. Charlottesville, Virginia.
Leela Thai is that. It’s the best.
It is homemade authentic. It has integrity. It reminds me of better times. Of family. Of the good parts of family.
Pad Thai, papaya salad, house pho.
I love this place.

Food came out nice and hot without much wait, service was friendly, and the establishment is open and inviting.
Fried chicken wings – cheaper than a sports bar and they taste great; simple salt and pepper seasoning with perfectly light and crisp batter; initially bummed they didn’t come with any sauce, but they don’t really need it.
(Veggie) fried egg rolls – three good-sized rolls for the price is great; overall decent taste with light crispy wrapper.
Pad Thai with chicken – super flavorful with lots of peanut topping, no complaints.
Boba smoothie – made to order, not pre-packaged!
Would definitely think about returning next time I’m in the neighborhood.

My dad and I ate here earlier this afternoon (1-23-26) and it’s very good! We had Pad Thai and the Green Curry, both with chicken, and the ingredients were extremely fresh. The food was spicy, and had the right flavors, definitely filled us up. The place is very spacious with plenty of seating, and the prices are really reasonable! We highly recommend!
