Before our ATAN AHAN St Sampson take away shop, we started out by attending the Guernsey Fresh Friday market selling mainly noodle soup. We gradually extended our menu to five regular dishes and two weekly specials and now three (red meat, white meat and non meat for Vegans). Our focus is always on healthy and fresh ingredients. This extends to our packaging which is compostable. Many of our herbs and vegetables are grown in our own Guernsey garden and we try to be as authentic to our Southeast Asian origins as possible… with a personal twist. All of our takeaway shop food is cooked to order to ensure it is as fresh and wholesome as possible.

Wonderfully cooked dishes, best Thai takeaway I’ve had so far. And not overpriced at all. Generous portions, utmost quality, freshness and cooking professionalism. Menu is somewhat limited and vegetarian-oriented but it’s also not overcomplicated like in other Asian cafes, and no weird stuff like fish & chips or burgers present. Also as a their Airbnb guests we enjoyed a generous 20% discount and the food was kindly served by amazing hosts Paul and Tan directly in our room above the cafe. Very impressed and grateful.

My husband and I decided to order takeaway from here because of their blurb about fresh ingredients and no MSG. Both our dishes were honestly delicious and felt much more nutritious than your average takeaway. I’m sure we’ll be repeat customers from now on!

Wonderful Thai takeaway food, served by lovely smiling Thai staff.
Needed a gluten-free veggie dish for my sister. No problem at all she absolutely loved it
I loved my traditional sticky rice and chicken and had plenty for a second snack the day after.

Great food served by lovely people. The locally sourced Octopus curry was amazing, I could have had several more portions.

The special Guernsey Beef Yellow Curry was cooked to melting tenderness and the Preek Pao duck stir-fry absolutely delicious.

No photos to post as the fragrance on opening the boxes was amazing and we couldn’t wait to eat but, even though it was a takeaway, the dishes were beautifully presented.

Great to be able to get Atan Atan delivery on a Friday evening through Donkey Delivers. (First time using DD and will use again.)

Thanks so much. What a treat!

Food is always delicious, hot and incredibly fresh. I have also had a group lesson with Tan who was a wonderful teacher and host. It was great to see the quality of ingredients and the love she puts into her cooking.

Food is okayish but does not taste like Thai food. Not sure what they put in the phat thai, besides the rice noodles, but this is not “authentic taste of Thailand”. Not much taste actually.

Madam, I ordered food from your shop the day before I wrote the review. For successfully cooking real, authentic Thai food, ask your Thai staff how they would do it. You are probably trying to maximise profit by cutting on ingredients, like using lemon instead of lime, no traces of peanuts in the dish, etc. The result is a lot of oily rice noodles and not much else, with no taste.
