I ordered the 1 item combo. I got Lo mein, spicy chili chicken with the cabbage. The spicy chili chicken is very flavorful. I would definitely order it again. Next time I’m going to ask to put the sauce from the meat over my Lo mein.

Everything is bad.
Every time you go.
Meats are all tough, gristle, and fat.
If you ask for no fat they won’t bother.
Rice and noodles have 0 taste. (And also always dried out as you see in the photo.)
Everytime all the food options are stale. They keep it sitting out all day and it’s all never fresh.
Rice is undercooked most times, and you’ll have some hard pieces.
*spare ribs are all large chunks of fat and gristle- barely any actual meat.
*bourbon chicken has gristle so tough you’ll practically break a tooth on it.
Servers are emotionless and wouldn’t say friendly.
And the food is waay overpriced.. especially considering you’re getting garbage.

This place used to have great food back in the day (well over a decade ago..)
I don’t know if they’re under new management, new cooks.. or what.. but it’s probably the worst chinese food place you will ever go to and it’s been that way for a long time now. Don’t know how they haven’t shut down, honestly.. The food tastes like plastic..
So bad.
Choose Lucas.
Definitely not giving them another shot.

True honest review here. They make the food fresh in the morning (they open at 10am on weekdays) but it sits there like buffet style until someone orders it and they sell it. Unfortunately if you come later in the day the food is just not fresh and tastes bland and sometimes develops a crust like it’s been sitting. I personally enjoy food that’s made to order. It’s good in the morning when its fresh but sucks any other time. Made in the morning and sits under warm lights till its sold. I Recommend to eat somewhere else.

Lomaine was ok i tried the bbq pork and it had an old meat taste so i decided on the orange chicken and chicken and broccoli. I should have stayed with the lomaine. The orange chicken was nasty and the chicken and broccoli tasted likeit was a few days old. Extremely disappointed

You will be hard pressed to find food that is of lower quality then the food you will receive here. Any and all Chinese tv dinners you buy at Walmart and microwave will taste better and be cheaper. On the other hand this place makes me feel like I can open a successful restaurant, so I guess that is a positive take away from my dining experience.

Great food with several options enough to satisfy any appetite. Food is always hot and fresh. The lady that has served me several times has always been friendly, very helpful and gives great customer service. When you are at Cumberland mall make sure to stop here for amazing Chinese food.

Lotus Express is located inside Cumberland Mall. Contrary to what one might expect from other malls, Cumberland Mall does not have a food court. So Lotus Express here is actually a restaurant with its own seating. However, they serve standard food court Chinese fare. You have a choice of fried rice or noodles, and you can pick two or three items from about a half dozen dishes in steam trays.

The food is pretty much at mall food court level, so don’t expect too much. What I like about them is they have some spicy items, spicy chicken and curry chicken, so it’s not bland. The roast pork is pretty good as well. And finally, the service is pretty good. One caveat though: bring your own water if you’re not buying drinks. They won’t give you a free cup of water, even if you are buying food and eating it there.

Yummy
Good food but makes me gassy…. Best lo mein and BBQ chicken I’ve ever had. Sugar biscuits are good too! I feel like I’ve known the employees for 20+ years. The lady in charge is so nice and also speaks spanish… good for the local amigos….
