We came to Juanita’s to celebrate my uncle’s birthday, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding—I ordered the poblano enchiladas, and they were seriously some of the best I’ve had. The flavors were spot on and clearly made with care.
The staff was awesome: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole celebration even better. Overall, everything exceeded expectations.
I highly recommend Juanita’s to anyone looking for great food and great service. I’ll definitely be back.

I always stop by at Juanita for some delicious enchiladas. The chicken used is very delicious and filed with flavor. I also order a side of beans and rice with the enchiladas. The restaurant also offer drinks and have tvs for entertainment. The front area you can observe the turf area and the back has a vide of a pool.

Great atmosphere right near a green space for kids to play. Food was lack luster though with very little flavor. Stay away from the red salsa unless you like ketchup. The green salsa is better but still lacks flavor. We had the chicken flautas and spinach enchiladas. The flautas were the only shining star but they were covered in a green sauce that makes them messy to eat (would have preferred to dip them in the sauce for it was good). Ordered a top shelf margarita and a Moscow Mule. Both drinks were lacking in alcohol especially for the price. So if you are in College Station on a nice day and looking to eat outside, give it a try but don’t have high hopes.

Wanted to try here because we share a name and heard great things about here.
The hostesses made us feel like we where disturbing them when we walked in. There was hardly anyone in the while restaurant besides staff.
Our waitress Sara was great and really on top of her area.
The food is NOT impressive as everyone says. Vary bland and over priced. I would not recommend coming here and wasting your money. There are way better places to get Mexican food then here. I am so disappointed

Unfortunately, this place was overpriced for what was offered. I ordered the chimichurri steak tacos and they were very acidic and pretty plain overall. The biggest letdown was the service, it was really bad, especially considering the restaurant was empty. The only positive was the drinks, which were actually very good.

Tonight’s experience at Juanita’s Tex-Mex in College Station was especially disappointing because we were there to celebrate our daughter’s big win at the Texas History Fair. She earned first place — competing against 7th and 8th graders as a 6th grader. We wanted to mark the occasion with a simple family dinner.
We ordered a cup of Sopa de Tortilla for her, but what arrived was extremely thick — closer to the consistency of bean dip than soup. It was not something she could eat.
When we brought this to the manager’s attention and asked whether it could be returned or exchanged, we were told it could only be discounted (50%), not removed from the bill. What made the situation more disappointing was the lack of concern or empathy displayed. There was no acknowledgment that our daughter’s meal was inedible and no effort to make the situation right.
We understand that restaurants have policies. But hospitality is about more than policy — it’s about care in the moment. Instead of feeling celebrated, we left feeling dismissed.
We hope management takes this feedback seriously, both regarding the consistency of the soup and how guest concerns are handled.

I love Juanita’s, the food is great! However the past two times I’ve went, the service has been sub-par. The food is a little pricy so you’d expect that you’re also paying for good service. Both experiences our waters were never refilled, we were rarely checked in on. The servers are nice but seem disorganized or rushed, even when it’s not particularly busy. Brought the check without asking if we were ready, even though we were planning on getting a dessert. Otherwise I love Juanita’s, but if I’m paying a little extra for higher quality, the service should match consistently.

I visited family and we chose to try this place by recommendation. Nice ambiance. I felt price was fair for the area and portion sizes. I ordered a red snapper taco but received a shrimp instead. The rest of my order was correct. I actually happened not to mind because I also love shrimp tacos but that’s why I have four instead of five stars. By the looks of the food I saw around the restaurant everything looked really yummy so it would be hard to go wrong…. Children’s portion are also generous. The only other thing I’d say is we were supposed to get double rice in place of refried beans and instead got one rice bowl. Overall I’d still come back and enjoyed my time there. Pics show shrimp taco, chicken flauntas and children’s tenders plate.

Our Valentine’s Day dinner went exceptionally well today at Juanita’s. The reservation was made well in advance to ensure a table.
The host was super lovely and welcoming as we arrived. We were seated shortly upon arrival even though the restaurant seemed full.
The rest of the time spent here was pleasant, enjoyable and wonderful. The music was a bit loud, but is to be expected. Thanks to Michael for taking good care of us. He was fabulous!
The food was delicious as well. We love the fajitas and enchiladas! We can’t wait to come back

Excellent food. Excellent service. Most of the time, restaurants use sub-par meat for fajitas because the know it will be covered with all of the fillings. The steak at Juanita’s was so good, however, I could have eaten it all alone. The flavor and tenderness were outstanding—the garlic butter topping was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, our server, Makenzie, was fabulous. We’ll ask for her again on our next visit. Highly recommend!
