The store is quite hidden so not much traffic even during peak hours at lunch. This means not much line to expect. The food is cheaper than normal price, and there are plenty of seating. It makes the overall experience quite pleasant. I would definitely go back if I am running errands near this place again.

Ordered a takeout order. Only half of the food was delivered. Ordered 2 drinks, only 1 arrived. Sausage was not great quality. Baked beans were canned and tasted as though they were simply reheated. Macaroni and cheese had no cheese. Creamy white sauce and soggy macaroni. Maybe I caught them on an off night. So disappointing.

The barbecue with straight trash. No smoke ring whatsoever in the meat. The brisket was tough and had no pull to it. Do sausage taste like it came out of the oven. The chicken was dry. Fantastic truly local barbecue place. Brisket is amazing. All the sides I tried were delicious – when I don’t feel like meat this would be the perfect vegetable plate. Peach cobbler is to die for. I was there at 2pm so the lunch crowd was starting to thin out. If you are local it would be a good go to for catering also.

Overall, the food was good. I have been there before and tried other sides. I guess my favorite here is the coleslaw. They offer an excellent fresh display of fixings for your BBQ plate, pickles, onions, and carrots!
For some reason, we sat in the 6 when they opened a door storage like there was a strong smell of cigarette smoking. It’s weird since Houston has a smoking ban.

Decided to try a new BBQ place tonight. Reviews were mixed but mostly good so we gave it a shot.
The decor is great, outdoorsy with a lot of deer, boar, elk, etc. mounts, old saddles.
And they were playing 70’s disco music which we happen to like and at a reasonable level.
Quick service (to be fair we were the only ones there at the time)
I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis ribs. Sides of fried okra and potato salad.
Wife ordered a brisket sandwich and sides of baked beans.
The brisket was fair. It had a decent bark but from what I could tell little to no smoke ring. Flavor was okay but missing the smoke.
The pulled pork was pretty tough and I didn’t care much for the flavor.
You get 1 rib. It was nice and tender, pulled from the bone pretty easy but again, missing smoke.
The okra was amazing. Unlike many places that use frozen, pre-breaded okra this was fresh okra and fried when I ordered it. Very tasty with a nice, crunchy breading and since it wasn’t frozen it had a bit of a bite (not all mushy).
The potato salad was also very good. Not sure if it is house made or purchased but it was one of the better potato salads I’ve had.
The BBQ sauce neither of us cared for. It’s more of a ‘Carolina’ style with too much vinegar.
The brisket sandwich would have been better if they toasted the bun.
The baked beans I’m pretty sure were just canned beans not homemade.
Price was about what you would expect from a BBQ place, we spent $40 for the meal.

This was by far worst barbecue and experience Ive had period. I asked for a 3 meat plate w moist or loose cut brisket,sausage and ribs. The server cut me lean cut brisket and it was dry not moist,1 small rib, yes 1,and he literally cut me 5 slices of sausage on a 3 meat plate,for a charge of 24.00. It’s a Shame they would serve customers this kinda product and service for this price. I’ll never go back..

The food was great!! I was looking for some good Texas bbq and I found it. I ordered a plate with 2 meats and 2 sides. The meat was tender and very flavorful..loved the spicy sausage!! I ordered online for curbside pickup it was a very quick process and that was appreciated after a long day of work.

A little bit hidden but nice BBQ restaurant. Plenty of options to choose from and very good meat and sausage. BBQ sauce was also very good.

I get Charlie’s at least once a month via Ubereats but stopped by yesterday afternoon after leaving the beauty shop for my monthly for brisket. I also decided to get a plain cheeseburger. I’m SO glad I did. I took a bite on my way home and almost had to pull over. I don’t know what they did to this burger but it was SO juicy and well-seasoned. It’s one of the best burgers I’ve had in a LONG time. A++++ Also, they gave me free bottled water which was nice. I’d already paid for my meal but realized I was thirsty and when they were about to ring it up a gentleman (maybe the owner or gen manager?)who was sitting in the dining area, told me to keep it & there was no charge. Sounds like a small thing, but sometimes those little acts of kindness mean a lot. I’m happy to give this place my business. Thank you. ❤️
