We wanted burgers on our way home but not mcds and we found Maria’s Lonestar just outside of Bangor heading back towards kzoo. Inside was alot of seating a nice bar and some pool tables. Very nice customer service and an overall great experience!

Awesome gem of a bar/restaurant. Absolutely no frills… Just good proprietors with awesome home cooked Polish fare.

Cabbage rolls (2) with gravy & mashed potatoes , she lloved it, so I had to sample, just like my grandmothers.
Now for me a little simpler.
Polish sausage sandwich on a sub bun
With sauerkraut & cheese. Very good sausage sandwich. Next try Thursday’s with Maria’s homade sauerkraut,- with polish sausage, & mashed potatoes.

First of all it was super awkward . No greeting and she mean mugged up when we walked in. When asked a question about the menu she got rude and said “youre the one with the menu read it”. The food was expensive fries had no taste and the chicken was not cooked. NEVER going again.
