best Indian Taco in Oklahoma at Saucy Calf in Pawhuska. Their fry bread it excellent. I haven’t had meat pies so good since I bought one out of an ice chest at a pow-wow. They are LARGE, authentic and perfectly cooked. I bet they’re fried in tallow, that’s the secret . Thanks for a perfect lunch, will be back again!

Visiting the Saucy Calf while in Pawhuska was the best decision! The atmosphere is welcoming, the workers and owners are amazing, and the NDN taco was the best I’ve ever had. I will make a trip to Pawhuska again just for this place!

Loved it. Fry bread was thick, fluffy, and crispy. Excellent flavor. Generous portions at a reasonable price. The Indian taco had a ton of high quality meat and the meat pie had a rich meaty flavor. The berry dessert taco had a pile a real berries, and easily could be shared by a family. The atmosphere was friendly and homey. I am already looking forward to going back.

I had the Indian taco and i thought it was good. The fry bread was good. I also had the meat pie. The fry bread outside was good, but the meat was bland. I would eat the Taco again but not the meat pie. Friend had the Rez dog and liked it and also liked the grape dumplings. Its expensive, but most things are.

Absolutely the best Indian Taco I’ve had ever. The fry bread is like 2 inches thick, light and airy. The meat comes from Osage Nation Meat Market, the freshest meat you will ever find. The owners are super nice and attentive to their customers.

I made my first visit to the Saucy Calf today. Everything was delicious. The flavor of the green chili meat pie was addictive, the fry bread was light and tender, and the grape dumplings were heaven in a bowl. This wont be my last visit for sure!
