Super super pho is my go-to Vietnamese spot in Berkeley/Emeryville. And so reasonably priced.

I always get the original banh no with the pate. Soo good with the freshnwss of the herbs and acidity and sweetness of the pickled carrots and diakon.

The beef pho with 3 kinds of beef is warm and hearty. Their broth is clear and so flavorful.

Will be back again and again.

This was my husband’s and my first time trying this restaurant. When you arrive, you place your order and pay at the counter first, then take a seat in the dining area to enjoy your meal.

The prices are quite reasonable, and the food was pretty good overall. For me, the broth wasn’t as rich or flavorful as I had hoped, though they do give you a generous amount of it. The staff provided decent service — not outstanding, but not bad either.

There are several pho restaurants along this street, and this was the first one we decided to try. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all and definitely worth a visit, but it’s not quite my top favorite just yet.

This was my first visit, and since it was a rainy day, I decided to try their pho. There’s something comforting about a warm bowl of soup on a cold, wet day. The soup had a rich, deep flavor that was enjoyable, but not remarkable. For comparison, my favorite pho spot is still Pho Vi Hoa in Palo Alto, which I feel has more balanced and complex flavors.

Ordering here was straightforward. You place your order at the counter, and the staff delivers your food to the table. The service was efficient and friendly, which added to the overall experience.

For starters, I ordered A2: Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls. They were fresh, light, and paired well with the accompanying peanut dipping sauce. As for the main dish, I went with the Rare Steak Pho, adding extra noodles for $2. While the broth and rare steak were satisfying, I realized the portion of noodles was already quite generous without the extra. If you’re someone with a hearty appetite, you’ll likely find the regular portion sufficient.

Next time, I’ll skip the extra noodles and focus on the base dish. It’s a solid spot for a comforting bowl of pho, but I’d still rank it below my go-to pho spot in Palo Alto.

Their spring rolls, banh-mi sandwiches and pho are all excellent. But the setting is pretty dingy and random. I still recommend it because it’s delicious.

We ordered a pho chicken soup which was bug enough for two and a Vietnamese roll with shrimps. Food was tasty 🙂 the place has complementary hot tea

The place which is designated to eat could be a bit “nicer” but its ok. A bit cold but the soup will help 🙂

Ideally, I’d give this place 2.5/5.

Usually, the Yelp reviews for a restaurant are always on point, and they’ve never let me down in the past, but this time, it was a different story.

Super Super Pho has a great setup for a casual dining experience. The covered patio with string lights and heaters looked inviting, and the counter service with “find your own seat” was convenient. We arrived right after opening, so there was no wait and service was very fast. Perhaps a little too fast…

Our food came out within minutes of ordering, which was concerning. Especially considering we had fried chicken wings, a dish that typically takes longer to prepare. Unfortunately, the wings were the biggest letdown. They were bland and undercooked, not crispy and flavorful like you’d expect.

The pho (super pho combination) itself was a mixed bag. The portion was generous, with plenty of meat (rare steak, well-done brisket, and beef balls). However, the broth was a major disappointment. It lacked depth of flavor and really needed a lot of doctoring with the provided condiments like lemon and Sriracha. The meat itself was also unevenly cooked – some parts were dry, others undercooked.

The Thai tea was decent. It was milky (not watered down, thankfully), but it had some chalky aftertaste.

On the plus side, the staff was friendly when we did manage to flag them down. However, with only one other table occupied during our entire visit, the inattentiveness was surprising. We had to track someone down for water and takeout boxes.

Given today’s rainy weather, I was really looking forward to some comforting pho, but unfortunately, this place did not deliver.

Just as the new kids would call this place “mid”
Had the super super combo which wasn’t much of a combo.

18.69 for a “meh” large bowl

-Noodles were over cooked. Chewy…
-Broth is already dark probably from adding more flavor instant pho powder.
– veggies was washed and had a pool of water on the second plate.
-broth lacked the body of beef
– toppings beef ball and beef and brisket slice. Very little

No tendon no tripe
Food was edible but wouldn’t recommend it for the price and value of the meal.

Seating area smells of urine or dirty towel.
Even after their “remodel” makes me feel like I’m in Asia with United States pricing for a bowl. I know we are having inflation and tariffs but 18 dollars for little to no effort for this bowl is a joke.

Pay as you go system deserves no tips.
Should I elaborate?

Great Banh Mi, great vibes. Live in the neighborhood and this place is indispensable when I don’t want to cook and need something quick that’s warm and nourishing. Vegetables are always crisp and the bread is soft and a perfect vehicle for flavor.

This is a very nice taste of a Thai cafe in Berkeley i ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli, shrimp spring rolls, chicken Banh mi sandwich I enjoyed the layout out where there were plenty of tables attached to the front house where you order you’re food and they bring g it quickly. Everything was very tasty and I would go back again. Prices were reasonable

I ordered pho number 1. The noodles were too soft and had a flavor that took away from the broth. I didn’t enjoy the flavor of the meatballs. Interestingly, they were cut into large pieces instead of being whole meatballs. The broth was fine. Overall, the meal was disappointing. Service was quick.
