I would like to commend Anny, our server, for her professional, attentive, and courteous service throughout our visit. The restaurant offers a pleasant and elegant atmosphere, making it an excellent place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
I worried that the website’s lack of focus on the restaurant’s food was an early warning of a similar lack of focus at the restaurant itself. Boy was I wrong!
The in-restaurant menu is an expansive list of Honduran and Salvadoran fare. I had heard of and eaten some of the items on the menu, but was unfamiliar with most of the entrees.
The menu also includes more familiar Mexican options, but I was feeling a bit adventurous and wanted to try something new, so I ordered the Carne Guisada and I am so glad I did because it was absolutely delicious! The meat was so tender it basically melted in my mouth.
Everyone in our group of eight thoroughly enjoyed everything they ordered. Every dish was plated with an eye for detail and included generous portions. The beans and tortillas were some of the best we’ve had, the desserts were great (the tres leches was the crowd favorite), and all of the cocktails we ordered were very good.
And, to my surprise, even the karaoke worked well! We will definitely be back!
The service was impeccable. Our server, Yani, in particular, was phenomenal. She answered our questions about the menu as it was our first time trying some of the selections.
The atmosphere is elegant, but not stuffy. In fact, there was a family with a baby enjoying their meal and having a marvelous time celebrating a birthday.
The horchata is the best so far from a local restaurant that we’ve enjoyed. They offer free refills on this and other flavors of Aguas Frescas.
For the Salvadoran experience, we tried the birria and chicken cheese pupusas. If you buy two, you get a bean one free. The bean one, ironically, was our favorite and had so much depth of flavor. The curtido slaw was addictive. ❤️
We enjoyed two types of Honduran meals: Cena Isla de Bahia and Carne Asada a la Plancha. Both were large portions and could be shared. The carne was perfectly cooked and tender, the plantains a nice change from fries. ❤️
We walked out with leftovers for the next day, happy tummies, and an experience that will bring us back as loyal customers.
¡Muchas Gracías! ☀️ ❤️❤️
✅️Tips:
1) They have a drive thru and the to-go horchata is a huge cup.
2) The menu also has a 2-3 person portion meal offerings.
3) If the party is over 5, automatic gratuity is added.
4) They sell snacks, goods and treats in the store front setting by the front door, which I thought was unique.
The food was amazing. We got a churrasco which was more than enough to feed me and my wife with extra to spare. See photos for the deconstructed version we took home. One was a cartoon full of meat!
Update: They had live music on a Saturday that we went! It was awesome. Loud for me, but he nailed the notes. Good energy.
