Update 11/12/25: My 2nd visit was similar to my 1st. Friendly staff, delicious fresh food, great place to stop for breakfast.
Met friends for breakfast. I was impressed by the amount of fresh vegetables in my egg white omelette. Not many restaurants use fresh vegetables ( outside of onions and peppers). Another plus- you can get fresh sautéed vegetables in lieu of potatoes. They make their bread and desserts in- house. We were able to get separate checks. Friendly staff. A fantastic choice for breakfast. The restaurant is small- so plan ahead.

Excellent neighborhood bfast spot! All bread is sourdough, bacon is great, very cozy interior with a smaller space (so you may need to wait for a seat). Definitely better for a bfast date than bringing a big family due to the table sizes. Staff is hospitable and everything has been delish!

Dining at Jumbars is like going to a good friend’s house for brunch, and they’re a great cook. The food’s homey, comforting, and simple. If offered, get the sweet strata (hot bread pudding with fruit sauce) to warm you up from the inside. I recommend splitting it as a dessert as it’s too sweet as a standalone meal. One order is large enough for four people (do the half order with fewer people). The rotating selection of soups are always delicious, especially the chowder in the style of Boston and Maine, as well as the hearty minestrone.

After a small wait in line it was well worth it. Carol was a great server and hostess. Jumbars is like a cafe in a Robert Frost poem. A very quaint place with old school ambience. Everything is homemade and absolutely fantastic. The bread wow, the bread. My corn beef was hand peeled with not one bit of fat. The people we stood in line with were correct in saying that this one the best places for breakfast in Bethlehem.

A nice cafe with great food and service. They open at 8 and had plenty of street parking spaces on a Sunday morning. We got their Grilled Cheese breakfast sandwich special, potatoes and coffee. All of which were great.

On this chill fall morning I walked right past Jumbars while looking down at my phone looking for it. I’m glad I found it in the end. I had delicious locally roasted coffee and gluten-free corn muffin grilled in oodles of butter to start and ended up ordering a vegetarian Chili omelette. Delicious, simple good food. My coffee kept getting refilled as I did my morning writing. Left satisfied and a little wired. Took their special Pumpkin muffins to go for my husband.
Great service. It was quiet when I arrived but it was packed with a line up of waiting guests when I finished up and left around 9:30am on a Friday morning.

My wife and I came in here for breakfast around 10:30 on a Friday morning. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. We were seated within 5-10 mins. There are maybe 8-10 tables with either 2 or 4 seats. The food was tremendous. My wife ordered quiche Lorraine with a side salad. I ordered the Savory strata with sausage gravy. The bread in it has the consistency of bread pudding. It was SO GOOD! My wife doesn’t often get jealous of whatever I order, but she was jealous of this one. We also got two scones, two shortbread cookies, and two Kipfels to-go. Everything was good and we will definitely return!
